In most Courts you go in, and put yourself on calendar and then set up a payment plan. Better yet, pay the fine and go to court and apologize. You would be surprised how well that works.

If you are arrested for failure to pay a fine, you will be booked and kept in jail until the amount of the fine is paid as bail. You will have an opportunity to go to court agian and could be fined even more for not paying the original fine.

Say your pulled over for a minor infraction, they run your info ...you go to jail, get booked, go into a holding cell, see a night court judge , he sets a bond you pay more money to get out of jail, then you go to court, have to pay the original fines and courts costs plus lawyer fees etc.. and they can pull your license and make you pay restitution to get them back.. easier to just pay the fines.

youll be going to jail until you face the judge ad then youllhave two charges to face so its better just to pay the fine or if you missed the deadline contact the courts and explain why youre late and then pay the fine with accrued penalties

You could be cited for contempt of court. A judge may order jail time.
