I've come across the word "wakatte" several times and I'm pretty sure it's a Japanese word. However I looked it up in some Japanese-English dictionaries and couldn't find it. Does anyone know what it means in English?

It means "Understood" or "I got it". I think ;)

Wakatte = understood.
Look up wakaru in your J-E dictionary.
Wakarimasen= I don't understand or I don't know.
