Every morning, I have to hit it at least twice. I've tried an alarm with no snooze, but then i actually reset the alarm!

Any ideas?

Yes, I do already have the alarm clock on the other side of the room. I get up (after it's gotten so LOUD I can't stand it) and hit the snooze, then fall back into bed.

And I've tried setting the alarm early as well as for the last possible minute. I'm late to work every day.

Put the alarm out of reach.. . . I have a friend who uses three alarm clocks. She puts one on her dresser on the other side of her room. One in the bathroom and one down in the kitchen. They go off 5 minutes after each other so she has to get up and turn them all off and by that time she is awake. Good Luck.

I am the WORST snooze button junkie!! Derek and I actually got into a huge fight over it, because it drives him nuts in the morning. I tried putting it across the room. I tried setting three alarms...I have tried it all. Only one thing works for me. The minute my alarm goes off I turn the light on next to my bed. The bright light shocks my system and makes me more awake than anything else I have tried. I got this tip from an insomnia website ~ it was advice for people who were trying to get back on a schedule....whatever...it's the only thing that works for me. Bright light and I am up! I may lie in bed for a few more minutes, but I can't go back to sleep. It's worth a shot =)

Start by getting more sleep. If you're getting enough sleep, it will be easier to wake up. Tell yourself the night before that you will only hit the snooze button once. Then get up and hit the shower.

If you continue to have problems get the clock below.

Are you sleeping well? Getting enough sleep? Maybe you need a sleep aid for a little while so you can get the rest you need.

You may have sleep apnea, which keeps waking you up in the middle of the night when you don't even realize it.

You're exhausted. You're not getting enough sleep. Talk to your dr. and see if he has some suggestions about how to get better rest in the same time.

Take care,

Put the alarm clock across the room so you physically have to get up to turn it off, you won't want to hit the snooze button if you have to keep getting up :)

Drink a load of water before you go to bed. It works for me! It might take a couple of goes to figure out the right amount - drinking too much will get you up in the middle of the night and you won't be busting by the time you need to get up.

Put a mousetrap on top of your alarm clock. You'll wake up enough to make sure you don't get your fingers!!

If that's too extreme, try putting it across the room.

Place the alarm clock on a table or counter space away from your bed, so when it goes off, you will have to physically get out of bed to turn it off. Once you're out of bed, you will be less likely to want to roll over for a few more zzzzz's.
