I drink 2 to 3 cups a day, with 1/2 and 1/2 and Splenda, and I think it does the opposite for me. When I drink coffee I feel more energized, and therefore I do more and burn more calories.

Well, I've been on the low-carb diet for over a year and don't drink coffee too often, as long as the 1/2 & 1/2 isn't a lot you're good to go I think. I used splenda a lot and it works for me, :)

You won't gain weight from it BUT the splenda will get your taste buds use to the sugar sweetness and will cause you to crave more sugar. There is also talk that artificial sweeteners digest in your body like sugar does releasing insulin and upping your blood sugar. Both of these if it is in fact true will have you gaining weight.

If you can have your coffee with a low fat milk and no sugar or artificial sweeteners. You can however, add stevia, which is natural and very sweet. Just a tiny bit will give you the sweetener power of sugar but without having to worry about your blood sugar rising. You can find stevia in many grocery stores and in health food stores. Again you only need a very, very tiny bit to get a lot of sweetness.

Coffee has no calories, no carbs, and no fat. Unless you add a fattening creamer, or you are really sugar sensitive to the 1/2 sugar in the Splenda blend, you should not gain weight from this alone.

Hmmm... the information is too limited to answer appropriately.

I mean, the are too many variables. Are you eating 'normally' (and you would have to define normally), are you getting enough sleep, excercise (does it exist)?

If all you do is drink coffee then no, you aren't going to put on weight but at the same time if you are eating 3000 calories a day without excercise you are going to put on weight regardless of the coffee... so...

You shouldn't rely on coffee. It wears out your body; mind, senses, heart, digestive system... all of it.

No.
Coffee is mostly water.
I drink a cup of coffee with sugar and cream every day and I have not gained weight as a result.

It all depends if you are using creamer and how much of it. Splenda is okay but you have to watch the creamer.

It depends upon how much of the creamer your using and if you the correct serving sizes you shouldn't put on any weight.
