YORKTOWN, Ind. (AP)

A man accused of snatching another man's false teeth straight from his mouth during a fight has been charged with robbery.
Robert Henry Stahl, 62, was charged Thursday in Delaware Circuit Court with felony robbery and battery causing bodily injury, a misdemeanor. If convicted of robbery, he could face two to eight years in prison. Police and prosecutors said they did not know if Stahl had retained an attorney.
Billie Townsend, 56, told police he went to a bar on July 27 to pay Stahl money he owed him, then Stahl asked him to go outside and started punching him repeatedly.
During the fight, Stahl allegedly put Townsend in a headlock and removed his false teeth.

I'm sure all the facts will come out in a court.

What I've discovered, expecially here in my hometown, is that the police and prosecuters charge people with a mutlitude of charges and then negotiate them down to one or two.

I believe it & I hope the charges get upped to GRAND THEFT, because a set of teeth can cost over $3000.00, not to mention the long wait without teeth, while they are being made! This is a good example of one tax man that made a poor choice in attempting to recover his money from another!

I have a hard time believing this was Associated Press reporting this, and not the Weekly News.

Aren't you a staff writer for Weekly News? Weren't you the one that broke the story about Bat Boy?

Kudos to you my man!.

Can I believe it happened? Sadly I can.

Do I understand the crime? Sure. What's hard to understand, taking teeth out of his mouth, or taking his wallet out of his pocket, there is no difference. He took this person's property by force.

Stranger crimes have happened.
