i'd be happy to read the bible every day for a month...believe it or not, i do have a copy. but to me, it's just like reading a work of fiction....a fairly poorly written work of fiction.

Satan makes that challenge every day. I say no to him as well as you.

I am a Christain and I agree with you to some degree. I am none denominational. I understand the poeple who get annoyed with others constently trying to convert people like salesman. I find myself sometimes uncomfotable hearing other christians tell me stuff. Especially when I see the fanatic Christain on TV. I think alot fo new Christain do this (because I did) because they feel like they have discovered something they never new and they see things they didn't see so they want to tell others which is great, but I think you need to pace yourself. I think this is the main reason for judgmental Christains too (because I used to do that too). When I recomitted my life to Christ I realised all this sin in me and others so I felt the need to tell everyone about there sin. Then one day my mother lost it and told me what I was doing (she is a Christain too) then I relised that I was being hypacritacal. Now I am trying to live my life for God without telling every person I see. I find that If you are truelly living your life for God he will change you into a better person and sooner or later someone will ask why I am this way, or when someone is going through a ruff time or questioning life they will go to me instead of someone else. I feel this is the best way to tell people about Christ.

I think someone feel convicted and does not want to face the reality of sin and Hell.

I can not stop warning people about their fate if they die with out repenting of their sin and putting their trust in Jesus Christ. Your challenge is a sinful and dangerous one. Should I not warn someone of danger just because I think their feeling may be hurt? No!

Acts 20:24
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Hey, we're not the ones that come into every thread on religion going *snerk* *teehee* there is no God *snerk* *giggle* get a sanity check *snerk* *guffah*. And when our beliefs are attacked, do you really think we'll just sit back and not defend ourselves? You atheists can mock and ridicule Christians all you want, and we're not supposed to say anything at all in return, we're just supposed to sit here and take it? Is that how this works?

I concur with above Idahomike.
Doesn't mean I can't use phrases such as
Prasie the Lord
Thank God
and Amen around them does it ... because
I do all of those things consistantly everyday as a part of who I am.... but to bother friends and family or strangers, no I don't bother them if they are interested they are if not... then I can I leave them be... no bother.

I'm sure they will be perfectly happy to take your challenge as soon as you take their challenge to go and lick a metal pole in the middle of the winter.

Actually, most of their friends and family are probably fundamentalist christians, too. So what would be the point?

I already do that! Everyone in my life knows that I'm a Christian and where I stand and if they have a question they can talk to me (and some have!) I find this way much better then getting up in peoples faces b/c they respect you.

Jesus commanded us to go into the world and witness for Him, to bring more souls, so that they might be saved. So no I'm going to keep talking about Jesu and saving all of ya sinners from Hell. Why would we want to stop?? So you can stop feeling bad about your sins.

That's not a challenge at all. It's easy to keep your mouth shut. What's hard is speaking the Truth to people who don't want to listen.

Those of The True Christian Faith do not impose our Faith upon any one... it is against The Word and Will of God to impose The Faith upon any one... The Word and will of God may not be forced upon any one, and all who have tried it have failed... and suffered serious councequences... God will deal with all who try to spread The Word by force.
