Depends on the job. I mean if you're interviewing for a desk clerk at a hotel that rents rooms by the hour I suppose looking like the "assistants" is fine.
But if you're interviewing for a regular job - you know - at a bank, law office, marketing firm etc. then wear a conservative outfit - as in a skirt, sensible shoes, pantyhose, conservative makeup/jewelry etc.

The last time I checked, camisoles are sold in the lingere department. No, it's not appropriate to wear underwear that shows to a job interview.
I have hired (and fired) lots of employees or potential employees, and I can tell you outright that if a person wears a camisole to an interview, they will show up for work in even less appropriate attire once on the job. I learned my lesson on that one; NEVER hire someone in a camisole unless you want a human resources nightmare later.

Not unless you don't want the job. ALWAYS wear something conservative in a neutral color to an interview. You want the interviewer to be impressed by you and your knowledge, not your taste (or lack thereof) in clothing. A classic suit and neutral color blouse in a flattering cut is always the best choice.
A camisole is NEVER appropriate for a job interview...even for McDonalds.

Assuming you're wearing a jacket over the camisole, absolutely. For instance, if you were to wear a bright pink cami under a black jacket, it would actually show confidence and might work to help make you stand out in the interviewer's memory. Go for it!

It would depend on what kind of a job you're interviewing for.
Personally,I would prefer something that covered up the chest area a little more. You may be able to wear it once you start working there, but for an interview,it might be more appropriate to go along the conservative line.

Depends on the industry, but generally speaking, err on the side of the conservative. You want the m to notice your abilities rather than your dress (unless the job is in a more creative environment, like event planning or interior design.) If you are asking yourself the question then chances are it's better to play it safe.

I would think it would be the equivalent to a man's "power tie". Go for it!
