OH Gosh - there were so many!
At 15, there was the time I was at home on a weekend with my dad (for some reason, my mom and two brothers weren't around). Dad said he was going out and would be back soon, and I was to have the dishes done before he got back. Instead, I went down to a neighbors house (one of the girls was my best friend). Anyway, dad got home and the dishes weren't done and I came running back to the house. OH he was furious. He slammed me up against the back door and began hitting me with his fists (not in the face, but from the neck down) and kicking me. I deserved some kind of punishement, but not that... Now THAT was abuse! And my boyfriend at that time took me to the prosecuting attorney and had me tell him what was going on. I can tell you my father NEVER hit me again after that.

First of all, no-one ever deserves a "whuppin'". Violence isn't the way to solve problems or punish anyone. Secondly, one of the worst ones I got was when my dad held me against a wall and repeatedly slapped my face until I screamed for him to stop, all because he wouldn't admit that I was right and he was wrong about something (can't even remember what it was now). I was 16 at the time.

when i was about 6 years old my brother did something (not gonna tell) and i took the blame so i was grounded for 3 weeks no tv no computer no phone and i could only get out of the "timeout" chair for dinner and home work and everynight at 7:00 (1 hour before bed) he would whip my butt with a belt 20 times so as you know i didn't deserve it but my parents still don't that

Man, my mom tore my a s s out the frame for this one...it's an infraction called "plate thumping"; that's where you take money your parents give you to put in the church collection plate but you use it instead to buy cupcakes downstairs at the church bakesale. (Plate thumping refers to the furtive technique of thumping the change in the plate to make it appear as if you've tossed in a few coins of your own.) I know what you're thinking....church upstairs, church downstairs, what's the difference? My thinking as well, but I can tell you my mother was not swayed by that argument in the least bit. After that, it was off to the races! She whipped me so vigorously SHE wound up crying! I was unimpressed... Thanks for the dubious walk down memory lane, which reminds me, I need to call her.

My brother was pumping me ahead if him on the bicycle. He tipped us over, landing on top of me. I was hurt and he wasn't. My Dad gave me a very bad spanking with a belt. Nothing was done to my brother. (I don't think my Dad ever gave me another spanking.)
