if those who are going to heaven were chosen by God to be saved and God gave them the power to accept Jesus, how do you feel since you did not accept Jesus and actually can not unless God makes it possible for you to do that.

You can give me the old, God does not exist, but that is a cop out, how about a serious answer for a serious question.

we have all gotten the cold shoulder from someone we would like to have a relationship with,

how do you feel about the cold shoulder from God who can save?

you can call it a predestination question, but honestly, what do you think if God is shunning you?

EvolvedKW, you ask who this question is pointed to in looking for a response, I'm looking for people that think. I am a thinker, and I spend sometimes years pondering points, and reading wise learned people. Contrary to theshadyfridge, i am not undisciplined of mind or unprepared to answer difficult questions like I ask. I merely look to learn from those like yourself who will be honest with me and tell speak what is on your mind

I don't see "there is no God" as a cop out, but if there were a god, and he didn't want to talk to me or didn't want to let me into heaven, I'd be pissed.

This reminds me of an argument we (Muslims) had many centuries ago.

Indeed those who go to heaven are those who’s God had shown mercy upon. Those who don’t are those who choose not to accept God’s message and out of there freewill.

Imagine a school teacher teaching the same kids from grade 1 to grade 11. After those years he would know them very will. So when he makes the final he would be able to tell which student would answer which question. And which student would fail to answer which question. But this doens't mean he controles them!

God the all might do knows the people he created even better than that schoolteacher. He gave us freedom to choose what we do in life. And he knows who will choose to accept his message and who will not.

I hope this helps!

God calls all the world to love him. Whether or not you answer is up to you. Predestination is a concept destorted by many (predominately atheists), that says all is already decided, because God knows all, so as he knows the future yoyur future cannot be changed.

I am not a prederterminist, but even still just because God knows the results of yuor choices an actions deosn't make him responsible

Have you ever, sat your self down and wondered about everything you believe in and try to question everything about it? Why does so much bad happen in the world, is it really gods fault? or is it Man fault?
Why would god torture people who did wrong for forever if he loves " all his children?"

I bet you havent even tried to answer these cos you dont know the answer. I bet, your so narrow minded that it hasnt even crossed your mind.

Seriously, really think about it, and think logically about it and put it into reality and then maybe, you might start to open your eyes abit...

Predestination and election are perfectly Biblical doctrines. See John 6 - "This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me to draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

It's hilarious to find the apostles saying in response "This is an hard saying: who can hear it?" Even they recognized that the entire doctrine is sickeningly unjust and despicable. God evidently created humanity only to roast the vast majority of us forever.

its thought provoking but biblically it would do more to tear down the Word than it would to encourage people to seek God.

The fact is...whether atheists want to believe God or not, is that He has dealt to each of us 'the measure of faith'. No one comes into this world more holy or more open to hear the Word. We've all got it equal. They choose to squander theirs. Free will..thats fine. But when it comes time to account for that..they shall not be able to say 'its because You shunned me'.

I seriously do not believe in the existence of any deity. How is that not a serious response?
The abrahamic god is so nonsensical, violent, and cruel anyway, why would I think that his "shunning" would be a stretch? There, I answered your hypothetical. If he existed, he is a dork, regardless of his "shunning" me.

I think that I could care less what God thinks, I've never thought much of a guy who condemns people so frivolously and fiercely. If he has predestined me to hell, that just shows exactly how "loving" he truly is, and I will gladly burn in hopes that others could see how sadistic their Lord God truly is.

Before i do give you my view and my discernment, i shld say please go back to John 3:16, focus on this particular scripture, if possible break the sentence to phrases!

Then tell me, what did you see in this particular Holy words from God?

Once you tell me what is really this scripture means to you, then i will answer your question seriously!

I used to teach my children when they ask me question i asked them first to see their question by covering one words at a time, especially Trigonometric Identities, and they came back to me showing the answer they looking for!

Is it okay to you?

I personally don't have a problem getting a "cold shoulder" from a fictional character or even from someone that I have never met. To me it's no different then if Cinderella was shunning me.
