Just a little food for thought.

How does one reconcile the idea of a Trinity, which by definition means God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are one... co-EQUAL and co-eternal and this scripture.

I'll use a couple of different translations here:

Psalm 83:18..until they learn that you alone are called the Lord, that YOU ALONE are the Most High, supreme over all the earth.

Psa 83:18 - Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord—
that YOU ALONE are the Most High over all the earth.

Herfinator: Yes, you're right. David would have known about the Pentateuch and of the existence of God's Holy spirit and of the son, but where in the Pentateuch do you find anything that even remotely says they are one and same, co-equal?

Bal: I actually believe in God's Word. Just not in a Trinity. I thought I should clarify that :)

Interesting question -- deserves interesting answer. First of all, David was a prophet. Secondly, he had access (more than likely) to the Pentateuch. Genesis 1:1-2 does mention the "spirit of God" along with God the Father. So, since he knew of the Father and Spirit, and prophesied the Son, that would give him knowledge of the complete Trinity. In my opinion, the "YOU ALONE" from the above translations is a reference to the Trinity and not any individual part of the Godhead.
Thanks for a good question!
Have a great day!

You gotta get it in your head that quoting scripture to disprove a scripture believer's ideas will not work.

They will say "the trinity is one, the trinity is just three unified aspects of god."

That, of course, would be too easy for the bible to say in unambiguous language, so it has taken millenia of head of a pin analysis to reach that conclusion.
