Actually, I don't believe in any deities, except as archetypes.
And I don't see how you can say theistic Pagans are the ones with ficticious gods, when yours is the one in the book... They learn theirs by experience.

Christianity is ridiculous and fictional. Without Judaism & Paganism....there wouldn't be Christianity because Christian followers of ancient times borrowed myths, fables, prophecies, traditions, and many rules from those two older brand of religions. If you've done your research on the matter like a freethinking human being, then you would had known that and wouldn't make yourself look like a self-righteous idiot. Just when you think you're better than everyone and superior than anyone who doesn't believe in or participate in your religion....it all comes back to revealing your arrogance, foolishness, and intolerance. From my point of view, there are Pagan beliefs that are silly and unrealistic. At least the foundation to those Pagan beliefs have to do with symbolism, inspiration, liberty, respect, knowledge, art, nature, and our universe. It's not based on a totalitarianism ideology and blind faith in some intolerant and genocidal supreme being who will scare submission onto their followers....or had to use his own demi-god son Jesus Christ to save humanity from extinction due to Yahweh's anger towards his so-called sinful creations-(Christians). The thing that a intolerant religion surely breeds is intolerant people and irrational fear of the unknown to its followers. I know this post is 7 years old....but perhaps readers in the future who read these comments will take what we say into perspective instead of rushing to put down other people for difference in opinion and lifestyle.

I guess I won't go into it with you that Christianity is based on Pagan beliefs, but it is. I probably shouldn't go on to tell you that Pagans have no beliefs in Satan in the ways a Christian would, but it's true. I WILL tell you, however, that because your Chrisitan religion took the idea of Hel from MY religion (a pagan one, by the way) and misconstrewed it all to... hell, well, I guess that if you condem me to hell, it's really not an insult and I have nothing to fear. At least if ~I~ go to Hel, I get to protect my decendets, meet and greet with my ancestors, and become reborn in most cases. So thank you for reminding me how many of you Christians are actually NOT free-thinkers and are totally clueless about your own religion, much less anyone else's. Just remember! In your religion, you go to your hell for not turning the other cheek and casting the first stone (are you doing any of these things here, really??). In ours, well, we grow up.

My, my how judgemental. It is not so much more illogical to believe that there is one God in the sky that no one can see or truly know. That a virgin can become pregnant and bear the son of some guy in the sky. That all events are orchestrated and planned by this mythical God.
Free thinkers? Pagans ARE the free thinking people dear, far more than you. People like you who use threats and ridiculous reasoning are the enemy of free thought.

Bah - you're going to report everyone who doesn't agree with you anyway.
Tell me, how does the teaching of Christianity allow for free thinking?
If you were truly a free thinker, you might consider that god by any name is still god - regardless of how others choose to view him or her.
Is not god of the earth, the creator of the earth, the caretaker of the earth? Is an earth god or goddess that far reaching then? Not really, if your eyes were as open as you claim them to be.
BTW- who are you to threaten hell? You are not god, you are not allowed to make that judgement call on others - it clearly states such in the bible - humans have no right to condemn another to hell, nor judge their actions based on religion. That's god's juristiction, not yours - EVER.

Do you not realize that the Satan that you named is not where mentioned in the Old Testament? Do you not know that in the Old Testament, there was not concept of Hell as a place a firey torment?
Do not tell us that we are going to hell because we do not believe what you believe. I was an ordained pastor for many years and when there were no answers to my questions found in Christianity, I looked elsewhere.

Hmm why does Christianity mock Paganism after they steal it's holidays. Where in the Bible does it mention the Easter Bunny? Where do Yule Logs come from? Oh wait isn't Mithra from a virgin birth? I mean come on... how can Christians persecute Pagans for absurdity when they preach that a man is the son of god, he never did anything wrong, that he came back from the dead, and that if we worship him he'll erase all traces of evil from our souls? Honestly, look in the mirror before you make accusations.

How nice and sweet of you...insult everyone who does not believe in your brand of spirituality, and then say "be nice "
I do believe that Hedgewitch stated it best.
And just FYI: we do not believe in Satan or Hell, unless you count countless attempts at conversion.....now if that isnt hell, what is?
It is we who are free thinkers and worshippers for that matter. We follow our faith and our heart, and we can do what is right for us. Perhaps it is you who fears that some version of "hell" awaits you....?
Just my humble pagan thoughts.
Blessings

FYI - christmas is a pagan holiday. It originally was (and still is) a pagan celebration of the winter solstice. It was the church who decided to have the birth of their savior's celebration around that time as to easily have the pagans adapt to their new religion. Same thing with easter. Pagan celebration of spring or "Beltane"
As far as christianity goes, it is largely based on other believes and has adapted it self to seem as though it came first.

Dude check where Christmas and Easter come from and you'll find as a christian you are celebrating the same pagan holidays. Look it up and try to be a free-thinker yourself!

If you were any kind of freethinker, you wouldn't be invoking Satan and hellfire against other people. If you're a Christian, you're doing a nice job making Christians look like intolerant jerks. My guess is that you're just a troll.
I'm not a Pagan myself (I'm a Christian), but cutting down the beliefs of others is uncalled for. Let the Pagans believe what they like. It's their choice, and their right.
