Or perhaps he's as subtle as the serpent?

Why hasn't he shown his powers to crowds in despair? Why won't divine manna rain on famine-ridden Africa?

Why are those godly tricks only recorded in the Bible (and some humans even manage to see and talk to God)?

For those who say it's all a big test: Don't you believe that way too many devout Christians have perished in this terrible incidents?? (like the Firefighter's pastor who died on 9/11 at Ground Zero)

the dead are not died, they simply left us to a happier place but occasionally god force us to witness the pain and suffering through their departure.

the injured are chosen because they are stronger then us. Tears from our eyes are form of blessing that we are able to feel the pain and to have feelings at all

Wow!

Where is the logic in this question?

If God stopped an event from happening then that would mean the event didn't happen. Right??? So, how would anyone know anything about what didn't happen.

So, God prevented you from bursting into flames immediately after posting this question. There you go! The Hand of God!!!

Best laugh I had all week.

Thanks

Speaking hypnotically here if God did stop those events such as Katrina by moving the hurricane would you ever even know?

For all we could know hundreds of catastrophic events are avoided on a regular basis, but we would never know about them.

That is why I find these questions strange because your assuming variables that might or might not be there.

Because God gave Satan reign over the earth,
Satan is the reason for all the bad things that happen in this world
God does have a plan, we may not know what it is, but that is where We have to trust in the Lord and pray that those who are lost will come to know Jesus Christ before its too late.

Yes but we don't know how many he actually did stop. Like that time the Earth was going to be hit by a meteor and be knocked out of orbit and careen into the sun. He stopped that one didn't he? Praise God, never doubt his ability. He will change what he feels he should.

God gave mankind free will to govern and control this world and if our disregard for the planet has led to storms, earthquakes, floods then why do people keep blaming God?

People seem only to willing to stand up and say we don't believe in God but when trouble comes that mankind can't handled then all of a sudden it's God's fault- Please.

If people want murders to stop- then stop murdering
If people want rapes to stop-stop raping
If people want crimes to stop-stop committing them

It's kind of strange question. I mean you can only know about catastophic events if they happen, right? There thousands of tragedies that could happen every day but are prevented from happening.

Now God may be omipotent but he has to obey his own rules of the universe like the law of physics and probablities. Given that, there is bound to be a few disasters that come to fruition whereas the majority are averted.

In the Old Testament, when Joshua prayed to God, God stopped the sun from setting for an entire day so that Joshua could finish slaughtering God's enemies!

Because there is no God. To believe he sent such destruction upon people, including helpless children and elderly to get rid of "undesirables" is inhumane and stupid.
Weather happens, and we weren't prepared to deal with it. All this money we spend on other countries and their affairs, and we couldn't do a thing for our own in need. No God orchestrated those events.

The bigger question is why doesn't mankind take care of each other. Why were Americans indifferent to the danger of the Levies? Why is mankind indifferent to the genocide occuring in Darfur, Sudan? Why was mankind indifferent to the suffering of others in the Holocaust.

Why is it that mankind prays for God to take care of us, yet we do nothing for each other? What are you doing about the suffering of others in your neighborhood? In your city? In your state, etc.?
