Depending of his type there are all the usual things like whisky flask, good malts, cuff links, pens. If he is not in to boring things what about some kind of adventure day. Loads online and places like Boots and I think Debenhams. Things like a micro flight, go carting,hot air ballooning, whatever.

My husband gave the best-man at our wedding an engraved flask. It was really nice and he loved it.
But if he doesn't drink I would recommend engraved money clip or cuff links. All are traditional and thoughtful gifts.

Get him something that relates to him. My husband got his best man a gift card to Best Buy because he loves movies. My Maid Of Honor enjoys taking pictures, so I got her a photo album...

watch, cuff links you can get them now with best man on them?,ring chain?it depends on what he likes hard when you don't know the person,?book token music DVDs?if he is your best man you know what he likes hope this has given you a few ideas?enjoy your wedding

what about an experience day gift card?? that way he can choose for himself which one he wwants to do and when my fiance got it as a presant for being a best man he was over he moon with it.
