I like all the answers that say it's the owner's fault when a dog has bad qualities to it. It's very true.
Also, I agree with what has been said about Cocker Spaniels. My in-laws have one who has been a maniac ever since she was a puppy. She growls all the time and tries to kill anyone who shuts the door on her as they leave.

My pick is between Labs and Labradoodles. I've never been a fan of labs because everyone thinks they can handle a lab, even if they're not experienced dog owners. Personally, I think labs are a horrible choice for a first dog because the ones who aren't trained well wear out their welcome very quickly. As far as labradoodles are concerned, I know people who are experienced dog owners, who know how to care for and train dogs but their labradoodles are borderline insane.

I don't like Chows or Australian Terriers.
There are more stray Chows in my area than any other breed. Any other breed I see in the street, I'll invite it to come over and for a cookie or a pat and try to find its owner. I don't trust Chows, and I know other people in my neighborhood don't either. Honestly, I wouldn't mind having one as a pet, but I'd never ever trust one I don't know.
I think Australian Terriers look funny. They have these long necks that are very perpendicular to their back and this funny shaggy mane on their chest.
Oh... and any mutt with a cutesy name that its breeder tries to pass off as having tons of unproven qualities and tries to sell it for more than $100.

I think the only breed I don't care for is chows. All the ones I have met were very nice but could turn the personality on the dime. We had a friend and his family had a chow. They raised it from a baby, loved it very much and trained him very well. Out of the blue one day (after having the dog for about 4 years) their little boy came in and said that their dog bit him. He had left marks on him and they really didn't know what to think. They wrote it off as the son had done something to provoke the dog and so they decided to just watch more carefully.
About a week later they were all outside and the dog randomly turned and attacked their other son. He was doing nothing to provoke the dog and the dog attacked the childs face. The child needed stitches and needless to say they put the dog down.
Do I think that every chow is like this? No. It's like Rottwielers, pit bulls, and germand shephards who have bad raps and I know first hand that it is not true of them all.
I do believe that there are those dogs who can tend to be more bi-polar than other dogs and are not good family dogs due to that reason. Does not make them bad dogs just much better for a single person or a couple with no kids.
With all the experience that I have had with chows this is what I have found to be true.

I love all dogs and pretty much all animals except for large many-legged insects and spiders. (Although I know they are necessary, I can't stand creepy-crawlies)
As far as 'breeds' go my least favorite would have to be any wolf/dog cross. Whoever thought this up was a serious money-grubbing dummy. We know how hard it is to find a good home for a well-behaved DOG, let alone an animal that is internally torn between two poles- the fear of humans vs. the desire to interact with humans. Most wolfdogs end up dead when they're no longer puppies and their instinctual behaviors to dig, hunt, and compete for pack status kick in. The sanctuaries are overflowing with abandoned former 'pets' and there is no end in sight to people still wanting to give this terrible idea a go.
Occasionally, these animals are dangerous. When an attack from a wolfdog happens, the media whips into a frenzy that mellows even the 'pit bull' hysteria, because everybody KNOWS that a wolf is a savage drooling bloodthirsty baby-killing satanic beast. So the blowback from these rare instances is the lessening of protection for wild wolves- who don't harm anyone.
In the same way that the media's hype over 'pit bulls' is resulting in some places adopting BSL, media hype over wolfdog attacks results in states adopting 'control' measures that include leghold traps, poisoning of nursing mothers and pups in the den, and arial hunting, where the wolves are chased to exhaustion and then slaughtered from an airplane with no chance to escape. The policy of 'shoot, shovel, shut up', long embraced by the American West is now being practiced by individual state governments and even the federal government- the W administration has no use for wolves.
So I would say that this is definitely the most distasteful 'breed' of dog out there and one that should be banned- unless you are a trained, licensed, educated person who has proved their qualifications to keep wildlife.
I am expecting the thumbs down for this because I know a few people on here have wolfdogs and I'm sure they love them. I am simply saying that the VAST majority of people have no business creating or keeping an animal that has more potential for far-reaching harm than good.
PS: In New Jersey, any animal SUSPECTED of having wolf blood is destroyed.

I love all the breeds there are some high maintenance ones that I would not want to own but to me a dog is dog and without them the world would not be the same. I have owned all kinds of dogs from huskies to pap's and poodles to retrievers and they are great as long as they trained. Some dogs need a lot of up-keep and cost a lot of money to care for with haircuts and such so I would not want one of those, I still like them though

My least favorite pure breed is the American Cocker Spaniel. They have been so overbred by so many irresponsible people that it is very hard to find one with a nice temperament. I'm not saying all Cockers and Cocker breeders are bad.... but there are a lot of them! I have very rarely come across nice American Cockers. English Cockers seem to be nicer.
My least favorite "designer mutt" is the Puggle. Same reasons why I hate American Cockers.... I have yet to meet a nice "Puggle" and I hate the thought of "Puggle breeders" making tons of $$$$$ off of mixed breed dogs.

I don't have a least favourite BREED, but there are some individual dogs that I'm not too fond of.
There have even been basset hounds that I don't like, although usually it's the owner's fault for allowing the dog to be an annoying brat.

Well, I love all animals but I am not a big fan of the Afghan dog. I think they look weird with the long hair and the short hair on the face. I just don't think they are attractive. I don't hate them or anything I just wouldn't want one myself because I think they look like cartoon characters or something, but to each his own.

I'm not fond of small breeds, but I can't choose a least favorite breed.
And I think the problem with the small breeds I've ran across is from the owners spoiling them and letting them run the household.
I'm sure they could make fine dogs if properly trained. :)

Not to sound funny- but I am not a big fan of the APBT as a pet for ME- I'm sure they are great pets for stronger people who know what they're doing- but even trying to walk one at the shelter- they are just REALLY strong- great dogs but I can't control them and don't know enough about training to train them.
After that I would have to say cocker spaniels- they are so poorly bred now-a-days that they are viscious.

Anything under 20 pounds - yippy yappy dogs. They are just annoying. As for the bigger breeds - I believe it is how they are raised. I have a German Shepherd and she is the most docile dog - but she does want to protect me. I laso have a black lab and she is the best dog in the world.
