Just for fun, are there any Christians on Y! that know what the "Q" document is and how it relates to the bible?
I am curious to see how knowledgeable people are about their faith.

The "Q" Gospel is part of a literary documentary hypothesis regarding the origin of the Gospels. It is postulated as being the "proto-Gospel", a compilation of various oral traditions shared by the Christian community. I disagree with this hypothesis for various reason (including the testimony found in the fragments of the works 1st century historian Papias, who learned from the Apostles that Matthew was written first, and that in Aramaic, not Greek).

The Q document I believe was from the German "qelle" or the German letter for Q.
It is yet another source document which provides yet more truth to the Scriptures as God-breathed and authentic.
I read about that in a study book by F.F. Bruce.......great Christian author & leader.

One anti-Q theory that is gaining ground right now is that the three disciples with gospels pretty much copied what they could from Mark's, then the rest is likely stolen or adapted from the missing gospels.

Questions and documents pertaining to the bible would be in essence the truth of God's word.

"Q" is an abbreviation for "quelle" in German...it means "source" - and is supposedly the one-document source of the three Synoptic Gospels.
