Ah, welcome to the world of red tape. This may take some patience and perseverence. A counselor at school might have an idea how the process works in your area. That'd be one place to start if for no other reasons than to have an advocate. As already said, your health department or social services is probably the place to start. Look up your County online. There should be enough to figure out where to call first.

Check with your school. Most public schools offer a rediculously cheap student insurance. It's usually given out at the beginning of the school year, but most kids throw it out or lose it. Ask your guidance counselor.

go to the department of human services & file the paper work, & you can go to your local health department. Also try the women's resource center & see what they can help you with.
