okay i got offered 7.50 hr to work in a bank(increase to 8/hr after 90 days) she says 7.50 is where the tellers start off...(when i read the ad it said 7.50-10)..I dont really have any friends and I'm looking to meet people...cause i got oa junior college and ppl r not real open and plus its a commuter school...so usually u talk to one person one semester next u stop....thats what ppl tell me anyways...I was interested in working as a host in a restaurant...or look to work in a hotel...( applied to alot of places already and i couldnt get a hotel job)

and now i wont be able to get to my club at school on wednesdays cause of this....it would be the first time i would be going but i guess i cant now!...but jr clubs are usually gay not like a university

I would take this job for now, but keep applying for the jobs you really want. Getting a job is much like getting a date--if you already have one, more opportunities will come pouring in. If nothing else, you will be making money in the meantime. An increase after 90 days is not bad. As for your campus social life, perhaps you can find another club to join. I'd make working your priority. Once you have money, you can afford to socialize more by asking classmates out to coffee.

Working in a bank will look better on your resume than a restaurant hostess job. Take the bank job only if you are serious about keeping it for a while. Job hopping will only lead to a poor employment record.

Only you can decide if this job is right for you, but it sounds like you're not very enthused about it. If you want restaurant work, I'd keep applying. If you badly need money now, then maybe you need to take the bank job.
