All branches are great no matter what you will be doing something for your country but Army and Air Force are the ones that is the most in iraq or at least that's what it seems.

I chose the Air Force, went to tech school with Sailors and Marines, was stationed on an Army post for 5 years, middle kid to the AF, youngest to Navy.....I am adult leaser in the Navy Sea Cadet program.
Honor to all of the services..It depends on what you want to do. Though I would have changed my choice with the Navy being a close second as it was 30 years ago.

More honorable??? WTF?? It's all a matter of preference the oldest branch in the US. Military is the Army, but if you really want to see the world join the Navy but make sure you are on a surface ship and make it to fleet.

I was in the Army and was in Army ROTC in college for 2 yrs before dropping out and enlisting and I loved my time in the Army (82nd Airborne Div, 2nd Inf. Div) it's all a matter of preference, what do you want to do as a career? The selection process is the same apply and you make it thru, the only problem is when it comes down to you actually getting a "branch" Army: Infantry, Supply, Medical, Engineer, Artillery, etc... Navy: Subs, Surface, Supply, Admin, etc.....

All branches of the Services are based on Honor. Talk to the recruiters, surely they can help. What is on-line for these groups?
My father was lifer in the Air Force & my hubby did a stint in the Coast Guard there is allot to be said for this path. If I had known I could when I was younger I would have been part of it too. Lots of luck.

Both have a proud history of defending this country but what do you want to do? Do you want to be on a ship away from the action and safe? Or would you rather be working with your soldiers on the line or in support on the ground where the fight is. The navy is a good choice but they do not offer all the bonuses and college incentives the army can since they are not as large and get a smaller percentage of the DoD budget. Either choice is a good one but you have to think about what it is that you really want to do.

Amen to smoker06. I, too, was in the Navy and I would never degrade anyone in the other services. It's an honor to serve in any branch of the armed services.

People who worry about what looks the most "honorable" are definitely the furthest from achieving it. Serve in the way you think you will make the greatest good.

The Navy is more traditional.

I am a career Army officer and would never disrespect another service by saying one was more honorable than the other. Although the missions are different, each is very important and equally honorable.

All branches are honorable!! But IMO Navy is more honorable than the Army.
