I am learning that no matter what the world throws my way, my God still sits on the throne and all will be well. It was hard to let go and let God. I guess I was a bit of a control freak. I got a real shocker one day when someone told me that I was not in control.(I really thought I was!) To just let God handle it in His own way! I did not want to turn over control to Him at first. I struggled with this. But when I learned to trust Him, He never let me fall. It was a very hard thing to learn to just turn my problems over to Him. I wanted to be the one who determined the outcome of everything. I learned that if I just relinquish and turn it over to Him, God ends up handling the problem better then I ever could have! May the Lord bless you all!

The best thing to do is to go to the source, the Bible itself. I read it daily. Devotions are a weak substitute for the actual Word of God.
Second, before I was mature in Christ, I listened to watered down versions of Christianity as you'll find with Kenneth Copeland and Joyce Meyer, but when I actually realized who God was and He brought me through the desert of repentance, I no longer listen to bad teachings. In fact, it makes me sad when men and women think they can go around saying all kinds of things and claim that it's Christianity.
I listen to http://www.wayofthemasterradio.com each day as I can, and I download sermons from preachers from the past who are not mixed up the bad-theology-lesson-of-the-day, but they had the boldness to proclaim all the truths of God's word.
Let me ask you. When was the last time you heard Joyce Meyer and Kenneth Copeland talk about the truths of the bible such as the fact that people are going to end up in an eternal lake of fire if they don't repent and trust in Jesus for being so kind as to have saved them. When was the last time they discussed anything that was of eternal significance?
I would challenge you to ask God to mature you in Christ. There is a time that all believers should stop drinking in the spiritual milk and start taking in spiritual truths. Read 1 Corinthians 3. Seek Christ alone, and He will grow you so that over time you will conform more and more to His image.
May God grant you an obedient heart today.

I daven Shacharit, Minchah and Ma'ariv. I practice Netilat Yadayim (handwashing) when I get up in the morning, before I eat, before I daven etc. I say the Shema before going to bed. I put on a tallit katan and kippah every day.
I take classes and listen to the Rabbi who has a good point almost every day and I read different books. I read books not only about Judaism but other religions. I feel that adds to my own faith to have knowledge about other faiths.
I also come on here and learn something new almost every day.
I have learned more about Isalm on here (real facts) than I ever could in the "real world" because I live in a Jewish neighborhood and there are no Muslims I know. I have also learned how high anti-Muslims feelings run and have had to take stock of my own anti Muslim bigotry based upon things i have seen here. Being Israeli I have deep feelings on Jewish/Muslim relations but would like to be more objective so seeing mature honest and well presented answers from Muslims has helped me learn.
I have also learned that there is not much tolerance out there and I am hoping I can make myself more tolerant and not just knowledgable of other religions.
Unfortunatly, spelling is still a skill that escapes me. LOL
Great question! It made me think.

i follow the church year (i'm a confessional lutheran) and read in the bible what is reccomended in the calendar, and go through the liturgy everyday as well. so my answer is pretty close to father k's, but our offices are a tiny bit different (no ''order of martyrs'' in the anglican church, i guess). so basically, my whole day is prayer and/or meditation on the Word, no matter what else i happen to be doing. it's a beautiful thing. joyce meyer must have been talking about guarding your thoughts today. that's crucial stuff. lately i've been learning to look up specific bible passages that pertain to my current situation, so i can use them in my prayers. that, and i've finally learned to pray before work. i ask God to bless the work of my hands and help me work to my fullest potential.

In reciting the Traditional Prayer Offices (the Officium Divinum) I daily read through a portion of the Psalms and an Old Testament and New Testament Lesson four times per day. Much more if I am celebrating the Holy Mass.

Endurance means the ability to last or to remain, this does not mean "works"! Look it up in the dictionary and see this word has nothing to do with good works. Question with Boldness has it right where he said faith will naturally motivate a person to do works, or it initiates a person to do good deeds but not because works is necessary for salvation, but because this person has a natural tendency to show kindness to the elderly, the sick and the poor! In Matt. 28 Jesus did not say to the disciples "Get to work, or you're not saved!" There are those who are severely handicapped in this world, and those who lie in the hospital bed who are in a coma or who can't move or speak. The JWs say works is salvation, so those JWs who are incapable of any kind of works throughout their entire lives have to put up with the JWs who go to their bedside and explain away the Watchtower version of "faith without works is dead"!

Today I learnt that an essential part of maintaining a relationship with Jesus envolves having righteous brothers and sisters in Christ to back us up in prayer and likwise doing the same for them. Gods Church, the Body of Christ. Praise the Lord for the power of prayer.
We need to stand together in Christ.
Eph 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV)

I attempt to create holiness from the mundane. Starting at sundown tonight I will be fasting and praying together with every other Jew on earth for the next 24 hours.
And how do you create holiness in *your* life?

I like to study the Bible. I learnt that there was a place called Ono that someone wanted to have a battle against Nehemiah but he didn't go. I also do Bible work in school.
