LineDancer..Just because some don't tell you what church they go to doesn't mean anything..Just because they don't agree with JW's teaching anylonger..doesn't mean that they think you are the ONLY wrong religion..of course there are many wrong ones out there..Many , many are false religions. YOu know that as well as I do and the former JW's.
I don't think most former JW's will ever go to another Church..belong to one. They have learned not to trust...THat is what has happen to them..When the light is given to them..they feel as if they have been "sucker punched"..it takes years to let go..I personally get spiritual uplifting from reading and study the Bible alone with other religious material. I listen to the teachers on TV too...they have beautiful sermons..much more so that I ever heard at the Kingdom Hall. Former JW's have a beautiful relationship with Jehovah God and Jesus Christ..Many are just now for the first time in their lives..experiencing the beauty and power of having the Holy Spirit reside in them.
Most Former JW's..on here are only trying to get you to see other points of view..You are programmed to only listen and read your material from the JW's..Jesus teaches us to make sure of all things..
Just because one leaves the JW's..doesn't mean they are now participating in Pagan activities nor any other sinful ways of life. You should not judge others..
Take the bolder out of your own eyes before trying to take the splinter out of former ones.

There is nothing written that says I can't disagree with something. Disagreements occur on a regular basis. I have had somethings that I did not agree with.
But what did I DO about them? Did I go and proclaim that Jehovah's Witnesses MUST be wrong because I disagreed with something written hence causing dissension and a possible division in the congregation? Or did I wait and see if there was a further clarification of the matter?

Which is the correct, Biblical way to do so?

So far, I haven't read anything I disagreed with, however, I have read things that I didn't understand. I ask and search for an explanation if need be. Anytime I have had a question, I have always been treated with kindness. The Watchtower lit. is most generally used as a study aid to the Bible and as a reference.

The answer to your first question is yes. The answer to your second question is they didn't. What's to "handle"? I later got clarification on the matter. Meanwhile, I continued to serve Jehovah faithfully along with his spirit directed organization. I am so grateful to Jehovah for giving the wisdom and insight of Peter "Lord, whom shall we go away to? You have sayings of everlasting life" (John 6:68)

Katelynn, you seem to be under the impression that you are not being fed spiritually by these TV evangelist and the literature that you make use of. You are, just the same as if you were sitting in their church. You know what the truth is. You know that "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons." (1 Corinthians 10:21 NIV) Can you fully accept the entire body of any of these teachings without question? Being given light does not feel like being "sucker punched". At least, that has been my experience. The feeling of being "sucker punched" comes from feeling that you have been deliberately deceived or taken advantage of. I don't believe that you can honestly tell God that is what happened to you.

About 25 years ago I wrote to the Watch Tower Society asking questions about the deity of Jesus. As you know, Jehovah's Witnesses denounce the Trinity as a pagan doctrine and they categorically deny the deity of Jesus. The Society had quoted from the book 'The Myth of God Incarnate' to support their stance. However a school teacher had given me sight of the translation of the German book (from which the Society had quoted) and, to my consternation, I saw it had been quoted out of context. The Society, it would appear, was guilty of scholastic dishonesty. I wrote to them asking for explanations in the hope they would clear up any misunderstanding on my part.

The reply I received was far from satisfactory. They hedged around the issues and failed to justify their stance.

Later, I read the book 'The Truth of God Incarnate' (the Christian perspective) and from that moment on I was convinced of the deity of Jesus.

My sincere questions and my desire for honest answers were stonewalled. I could no longer believe any quotations cited by the Society in support of their beliefs. I was not thanked for my enquiries. My conscience demanded I hand in my resignation but the elders (like little children who have been thwarted) spitefully fired me.

JW's, PLEASE NOTE - I do not hate you and even though you may consider me to be an apostate, I know that Jesus is now my Lord and Saviour and is worthy of my worship. Do you? Your eternal lives depend on it.

Its funny how apostates try to act so innocent. Curly sue, If that were true, they would try to help you. I know this because there is a sister in our hall like you, and she got help. YOU turned apostate. You did this. not the congregation.

Your to blame for all thats happend to you

They risk getting disfellowshipped for being an apostate if they argue the info from the WBTS.
I started disagreeing when I was about 13 - after I was admonished I just shut my mouth and pretended to go along with it. Then eventually I left.
