Alright here is the deal, this Monday i got pulled over by this idiot cop who gave me a speeding ticket for going something like 8-10 mph over...I'm 17 going on 18 and have had my license for about a year and a half or longer. I have had no prior tickets, violations, ect. It was a 75 dollar fine which im paying....but im really worried about my insurance, my parents pay it, and i havn't told them about the ticket, im just going to pay it...so my question is...will they notice a dramatic change in my insurance rates? for one speeding ticket? oh and also, i live in idaho...i know these things vary by state.

Take a defensive driving corse to expunge the ticket. This way it won't affect your driving record at all.
You might also try deferred adjudication if your state has it. Deferred adjudication means that this one won't count solong as you don't get another in a set time frame. If you get another ticket within the time set by the judge, then both tickets hit you full force.

It also depends on your insurance company. Some companies don't raise your rates for one ticket, others do based on the offense and the age of the driver. If your insurance company jacks up your rates, they won't go up that much (shouldn't be more than $50.00 every six months, and even that is a high-end estimate).

Only one way to find out, call the insurance agent and ask him...

With AAA, one ticket won't get you an increase, but 2 in 5 years will....

Most insurance companies allow you 1 ticket, but some can/will increase your premiums up to 25%.

okay before you pay IT you should appeal it 90%chance you will win the case,if that does happen it wont effect your insurance at all,on the back of the ticket it should give instructions on how to appeal it,however i do believe it is different in each state on how much your insurance will go up,call your insurance company and ask but PLEASE appeal it.
