Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.

Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.

Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.

Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads

•Exfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs.

•Use creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and "expose" the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.

•Avoid washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

•Often use a mask with a clay base.

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.

Steam your face to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores.

I've always heard that witch hazel works on blackheads. And I know this sounds funny, but if you put toothpaste on a zit overnight, that can help as long as it's not a really stubborn one.
If you're in a rush and your pimple is red and inflamed, you can put ice on it, which will decrease the swelling of the skin and reduce the redness. Just be careful not to burn your skin with the ice or you'll have more problems!

Warm a little honey and apply on the blackhead areas. Wash off after 10-15 minutes.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

I bought a very effective piece of "home beauty" equipment a few years ago. It's a spa facial steamer - basically a small machine in which you put purified water. It heats the water to create steam which opens and unblocks your pores. It's great for eliminating blackheads!

Also, you can give yourself the spa treatment at home. Here's a good article on all the sorts of treatments people can use:

Best of luck for new, glowing skin! :)

pop zit push down you may also use q-tips. push until you see some blood just once or twice no more because u might irritate the area because a zit is an infection in the skin. After apply some toothpaste let it sit and the paste is to minimize size. Hope this helped As for black heads i have no idea sorry.

use indian clay mud mask from the health food store to remove/prevent blackheads. if you have a horrible zit, cleanse well then use a band-aid to hold an uncoated aspirin {moistened with water} on the zit over night. it will bring it down alot as aspirin is an anti-inflammatory drug.

Cleanse your face with unboiled milk, gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk to remove the blackheads. Steam your face with herbs like lavender, lemon peel and mint leaves added to the water and let the skin soak up its goodness. A paste made out of cornstarch and water is great--it dries out zits and the very slight graininess of the starch will exfoliate your skin when you wash it off. Use it as a mask--apply and keep on until it turns completely white.
