I am doing a prepared talk for my English GCSE. Any idea for a subject which is different, interesting and has a lot of potential for being an A* talk?

In general, if you have to give a speech, think about who your audience is. What is the purpose of this speech? Is it to inform? To change the audiences point of view? Get some action? To entertain? - Next, think about what you feel strongly about or what you know or want to know more about. A speech is best if you have a personal interest and involvement in. - After that, remember that a speech, like a paper, has 3 parts. An introduction, a body and a conclusion. In the introduction you tell the audience what the speech is about, the body of the speech holds the information you want to get a cross and the conclusion is a summary of what you told them.Good Luck.

A great subject is the ONE YOU'RE MOST COMFORTABLE WITH. A topic that you can speak about off the top of your head with little or no effort...You'll be relaxed and confident and your delivery will be powerful and hence effective. It's very unlikely that you'll make any mistakes.
