I have been researching the significance of 2012 for a few months now.
I was brought into this world as a Catholic, but soon felt the institution was not completely true. I could never understand how the church could have taken part in the crusades and other killings when it is clear that Christ was against killing for whatever reason. You see it was my ancestors they helped kill. I spent years questioning anyone I could to no avail: Hence, I left the church.
The Bible is yet another subject. I never completely forgot it because it rings full of truth. As for any Bible Code that might be imbedded in the writings, it's possible, since there seems to be powers on earth that would prefer the masses not know of the events to come. One way to get the message out, without it being detected by those in power, would be through some kind of code. I figure that those in power want to hide the events to come, to help insure they will be the only survivors, and hence help rid the planet of what they consider less than human beings. They may even believe they are doing god and humanity a favor, by their actions.
I have some Native Indian ancestry in me. Over the years, it became increasingly clear, that I should make an effort to understand, if not their culture, at least the Mayan calendar. What I discovered about it echoes the Bible and other ancient writings.
On Dec. 12, 2012, from the center of our galaxy (the black hole) will erupt a huge energy pulse, as it does every 5,125 years. This pulse will light up the skies with energy. It will cause our sun to expel large solar flares and will also cause it to flip its poles. This in turn will cause earth to do the same. Only this time, because of our carelessness and disrespect for our planet, by allowing the creation of Hot House Gasses, our earth may roast rather then just heat up. I don't know for sure if there is any escape this time. Cleaning up may be too late, and not in the agenda of those who control most nations.
I have had the fortune of an added "convincer". Over the many cycles of these catastrophes/cleansings, those people who have been able to detect it coming, have be able to prepare for the catastrophe. They have had a better chance of survival and have past this gift on to their offspring. Twenty years prior to the event, the same black hole spouts out a mild energy. Aside from causing abnormal heating to the earth via larger solar flares from the sun, this energy causes some people to close down the rational part of their brain and open up their intuitive side. The intuitive side of the brain has access to information that has been able to guide them to safety, telling them what to do: In the past, safety has been found in the higher elevations of Arizona and New Mexico. This area is also composed of stable solid earth.
On Dec. of 1992, twenty years prior to 2012, I felt the effects of the energy pulsating from the center of our galaxy. I was forced to leave my study of physics, and take a path of meditation. I am convinced this path will guide me to the best chance of survival, if any exists this time around. Those in power have chosen to build huge underground complexes (bunkers) throughout the planet, an option no longer available to the rest of us, do to limited resources and time constraints. For the rest of Us, concrete reinforced geodesic dome shelters may be the ticket.

No, I do not manufacture nor sell these structures. This is just an example of what can be built to increase the chance of survival.

Personally, I don't believe in the Bible code and I am a big fan of Professor Gans and know it was a Rabbi who came up with the idea but I just don't think there is anything to it.
A code matrix does say the Earth will be destroyed by a comet in 2012 but it also says the comet will be destroyed before it hits earth.
The odd thing is that many religions/cultures predicted the end of the world in 2012 due to astronomical alignments of 3 planets which actually may cause some changes in Earth but I really don't think the earth will end in 2012 but who knows, maybe I am just an optimist.
I do think it is odd that the people who study the Torah codes predicted and tried to warn Yitzak Rabin of a warning about being assisinated. They found the matrix before it happend. All the others they find afterwards. I admit that one creeped me out a little bit.

Thank you for adding to the stereotype of Christians taking parts of the bible and only focusing on those parts. What you didnt read is that there are 17 more judgements in revelations, and many more prophecies that must come true before this prophecy comes true. God also said that the tribulation would come at a time not known to man. So you think trying to find a date is gonna help especially when you are talking about an event that is more than half way through the Great Tribulation? Please stop try to make the bible a death book with all bad things in it. There are more books in the bible other than Revelations. It might help if every body didnt focus on the end and focused on the lessons the bible teaches us.

Is it possible that the world could be destroyed by a solar flare or a comet in the year 2012?
The answer is yes, it is possible.
It is also possible a comet or asteroid could crash into the sun causing a "condition" that would annihilate the Earth in the year 2012.
It is also possible that these things could occur in the next year or so since we do not track every asteroid, meteor or comet in the sky, just those we notice.
You could become a survivalist, or a Christian or anything else because of these things and it would not help you.
"Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom", not the beginning of salvation. Making choices based on being afraid will not save you.
Loving God with all your heart will.

No, the Bible was not written in code, nor does it contain some kind of secret messages from God in a hidden code. God's command to the prophet Habakkuk could be applied to every book of the Bible: "Write down the revelation and make it plain" (Habakkuk 2:2).
After all, why did God give His Word, the Bible, to us? He gave it for one reason: so we could understand it. Its truth is so profound that even the most brilliant scholar will never exhaust its meaning—and yet its message is so simple that a child can understand it. God doesn't hide Himself from us; He wants us to know Him and His love. Why, then, would He conceal any part of His truth from us? He wouldn't—and He hasn't.
God didn't make the Bible impossible to understand; the problem is that our hearts and minds are closed. Jesus' rebuke to those who refused to believe what He was telling them could be applied to many today: "Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say" (John 8:43). May this not be true of you.
Instead, ask God to give you a hunger for His Word, and to help you understand it. Then begin reading it for yourself (perhaps starting with one of the Gospels, which tell us about Christ). The psalmist's words can become yours: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105).

Stupid people in large groups will cause the end of the human species.
Saying "scholars, mathematicians" etc does not validate this insane apocalypse argument. Even Newton predicted when the end of the world would happen, and these men lived in a very different time with different perspectives on religion. We know better today.
It's almost as if you want the world to end... just to prove your religious fundamentalism right and to squash any dissent on the issue.

My dear - the "Bible Code" book is not for Christians. Do not base any of your thinking on it. It is NOT from the Lord.
Furthermore I do think we need to be more interested in letting our light shine, and in winning the lost, than always looking into the bad side of things. I do admire your zeal. I do wonder what you are trying to accomplish. Yes, the Lord is coming and yes, judgment is coming, but we cannot be consumed by this judgmental sort of thing. Let your light shine, and be the salt of the earth. Folks think our actions speak louder than our words.

What God did once He will do again, except for flooding the earth. He set a rainbow (bow)In the sky as a reminder of His promise. Remember the plagues of Egypt ? There will be 7 bowls of wrath to be poured out onto the earth. I will not be here for any of them. I'll be long gone In the Rapture.
Jesus Is coming SOON. Get ready.

Bible writers knew about comets and meteorites, and about earthquakes and floods and other natural disasters. The fact that these things have happened in the past and will happen in the future has no connection with divine prophecy.
