A group of girls, me included, are saving our first kiss for our wedding day. What is your opinion?

As a Christian guy I can tell you that is Awesome, To be that dedicated to the Lord. Apparently you have studied Jewish weddings from the old testament. God wants the first time to be on the wedding night. It creates a bond that can never be broken. Just like Christ and his bride the Church, Christ died once sheding his blood on the cross for all who will recieve him. We get saved once spiritually, just like we should get married on earth Just Once. This is Great Ladies, Numbers 6:24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. AMEN

Don't mind me, I just want to see the responses.

p.s. If that's what you want to do, that's fine by me. It simply means you have a higher standard of chastity than most others.

Edit: they're right about the troubles finding a willing partner that await you. I think the intention is good, and I wish you the best in however your first kiss comes about.

It is a very nice idea. Along with most of the others I don't think you'll make it to your wedding day. Hear me out on this one point. If you don't kiss your future husband before your wedding, how are you going to know if you two have the right chemistry? Chemistry is very important to a marriage. You can love someone with all your heart, but without it your marriage will be dull and lifeless. Could you imagine living your whole life with someone as man and wife only to think of that person as one would think of a brother? I'm not saying to go out kissing random guys, to see if you have chemistry, but for a serious relationship that could be on the road to marriage, why not find out before you get yourself into something you can't get out of?

... Thats a little insane, you realize. Its just a kiss.

You must be very young, and brainwashed, to come up with something so ridiculous.

Edit: Incidentally, you need to understand something about the human mind. You can say you love someone but it means very little. Even parents and children kiss, its just a kiss on the cheek, or a peck on the lips. Kissing is personal. It lets the person you love know you care more about them than just words.

If you don't kiss someone, the man is going to think you are rejecting him. Its not like sex where it could get you pregnant or something. You probably never will get married if you keep up with that kind of stupid behavior.

Words mean nothing, actions mean everything. And if you just do nice stuff for him without physically expressing how you feel to him in any way, he's going to feel rejected.

It's not going to make the blindest bit of difference to God but it may make a difference to your long term happiness. You serious intend to make a life long commitment to a guy you've never even kissed?

I'm just glad my daughter has more sense than you do.

It's a little extreme and unrealistic. I can understand saving your virginity, but *some* familiarity with the male you're about to spend the rest of your life with may be a good idea..

I doubt you'll get married, unless your not saving the "other" stuff for your wedding day.
