i just bought a new car and got rid of my old one can i transfer over my registration from my old one to my?

new car and what about my license plate can i put it on my new car just like that .

The plates you can transfer over but I think you will have to get a new registration for your new car.

Depends on your State DMV. In Ohio and Florida, you could transfer the plates to a new car if the car the plates were on was sold. If you were keeping the old car, you needed new plates for another vehicle you bought. The registration is for the plates. You need to transfer it over at the DMV office.
