I mean, why would you believe something and base your whole entire life on it when you can't even explain half of it and have to resort to "God works in mysterious ways"? Don't you think if he was really all-powerful he'd give you knowledge so you don't appear clueless to those you are trying to teach about God?

They expect to understand after they're dead.

Good luck on that.

No. I am comfortable with my limitations as a human. God's mystery is a byproduct of His vast superiority to us. He does make Himself known (as much as a human can know the Infinite) to those who love and seek Him diligently.

By the same line of reasoning that you employ above, we cannot place any faith in science. I have found it true that any subject can be exhausted to the point of "just because" or "we don't know yet" with 8 Why's. With our human senses, we can perceive approximately 1/36 of the electromagnetic spectrum. With our best technological devices, we are still only able to collect data on about 1/3 of that spectrum. Therefor, we must not trust in science because it also does not explain everything fully.

I love both God and science, despite my inability to fully comprehend either. If you would like, you may send me a message with whatever questions you have about my faith.

If we had the knowledge, why would faith be needed. God wants us to strive to know Him personally, He isn't going to do the work for us. He makes it pretty simple... He promises us that if we "seek [we] will find...", and He promises us He will reward our love, belief, and faith, with eternal life. I found God, it's not a matter of belief, I don't require any more proof. Proof is there even for you, you just choose for now to ignore it and I suspect you choose not to seek, because you are afraid of what you might find... and the thought of someone judging you freaks you out. But, what do I know? I believe in some myth, right?

Jesus said:

I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
