I was just wondering if perhaps anyone knows of any drinks that'll help you maintain weight. I DO NOT want to gain any weight, just something to drink to substitute a meal.

I know there's SlimFast, but I don't wanna walk around with a SlimFast. Especially since I'm skinny as it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are skinny, you should not be substituting a meal with a drink. You do this when you are trying to lose weight. However I do not recommend this either. The best way to lose weight is to eat the right size portions and exercise. You can get all your vitamins and minerals you need from what you eat, as long as you are eating healthy.

To maintain your weight during the week try to eat as healthy as possible for example:

Breakfast:
1 scramble egg
1 slice of toast
1 slice canadian ham
4oz orange juice
coffee (optional)

Snack
Small orange, apple, 6 strawberries, and handful of cashews, etc

Lunch.
Small salad
Lettuce
1/2 cup chopped veggies (cucumbers, green/red peppers, etc. no tomatoes or carrots)
4oz of meat (grill chicken, tuna)
1 tbs gorgonzola or blue cheese
light dressing

Snack

Dinner
1 cup of veggies,
4oz of meat
1/2 cup rice or pasta
small salad (cut the veggies to 1/2 cup)

Snack
(before 8pm)

Drink at least 8-8oz glasses of water a day and exercise.

During the weekend, go ahead and have what ever you crave, but eat only the recommended daily serving. For example, you can have the home made spaghetti you love with a roll and a side salad. But remember a serving of pasta/rice is ONLY 1/2 cup. Drink a glass of water before meal time, eat your salad first and then your main meal and eat slow. And don't forget dessert, a small slice of that awesome cheesecake is ok once a week. :-)

Eat slow to give your brain time to know you are full. And the minute you feel full stop eating. You do not have to eat everything on your plate every time.

If you exercise regularly then you can eat more calories and still maintain your weight.

The only drink I recommend is water, water, water. you can also drink diet soda a couple of times a week.

There is a registry for tracking the success of weight programs, and liquid diets generally do not do well with helping people maintain long-term success.

Instead of trying to take in your meals as a liquid, practise better portion control and substitutions, good exercise, and drink plenty of water or tea.

I would say just eat sensibly and drink water. Exercise would help too. Just stay away from soda drinks. Don't go for any fad diets, there's a reason why they're always replaced by some other idiotic program. You're probably gorgeous anyway and you're body is probably great. Good luck.

consistently drink water no before than a million/2 hour before a meal. eating with a meal dilutes your digestive juices and your foodstuff isn't appropriate digested and assimilated in a while. ultimately youll might desire to do a colon cleanse to get rid off all that undigested, unused 'crap' on your intestines. in case you have a severe metabolism and cant guard your weight eat greater.

Get a juicer.

Some people fast one day a week and maintain their health by substituting food for vegetable and fruit juices. However, because of the high sugar content, beware of fruit juices.

Everyone is different though, and you might want to check with your doctor b4 making radical changes to your diet.

Here's a good site that talks about juices for people with different dietary needs. (see sources)

Good luck.

You could try drinking Oolong Tea after meals. It helps boost your metabolism and eliminates free radicals. It is also very good for your skin and other metabolic processes.

Ensure or a protein shake would be good choices for meal replacement.
