In the last few weeks a woman and a college student were tasered by police officers. There were more than one police officer there and they should have been able to contain these people without the use of tasers. The police are getting too carried away with this method. Police officers, if you are seen tasering people without warrent, prepare yourself for the unexpected!

Intruder, you dont need to tazer a woman if she is not carrying a weapon and there is more than one police officer there. Are police officers of today really that weak!

Some of them think they cant do their job without using their little tazer toy! Use the thing on people who you really need to use it on! If you cant take down a drunken woman or man when there are more than one of you, you dont need to be a police officer!

You guys arent getting the point. In most instances there are more than one officer. I dont care what any of you say, you dont have to tazer the lady if you have backup there. What ever happened to our law enforcement officers who had guts. This new breed of officer are trigger happy toting tazer freaks!!!

Ret. Sgt. I was also in the corrections field and if someone was out of control and their were more than one of us, we didnt use the club, we wrestled him to the ground. Thank God, youre retired.

You are absolutely right! Cops these days are getting worse and worse. Not saying that cops are bad or anything. Im glad that we have cops in our country, but sometimes there are just better ways to handle things. Like the cop and that lady. That cop was torturing the poor lady. He deserves to lose his job for that. And if you ever watch to catch a predator, when the predator walks out of the house, the cops just run and tackle and wrestle him to the ground when he already had his hands up. And they start beating him even when he was already down. Thats outrageous. What im trying to say is that there are better ways to handle situations like those, and whats been happening these last few weeks should be lessons to all of us.

The police tasered that jackasss because they didn't want to smack him upside the head with a nightstick!

And for those who haven't thought about it, John Kerry WAS at one time under the protection of the U.S. Secret Service.....

Remember that? ... Well, if this guy had acted up like this in the prescence of the Secret Service, he would have been WISHING someone would Taser him.

Those guys would have jacked him up in ways he would not ever forget!!! On top of that, he would have been facing some serious federal charges and probably would have gone to federal prison for a few months.

As for the older lady, she probably should not have been tasered. The guy that did that should get some type of discipline and extra training.

Smoking... something. Sounds like you are threatening to go nation wide and attack police officers caught using a tazer. Sounds like you have never been a policeman or know the " rules of engagement"

Actually sounds like you are John Wayne and the terminator all rolled into one. Man you must be the meanest badazz in the world.

I was doing a one on one with a kid wired on PCP. An older man was standing there and got disgusted when another policeman came ot assist me. The older man was a victim of the DUI with this kid and yelled at us while we were restraining him, that it shouldn't take two of you to do the job. I offered back that he was welcome to join in any time. He left. You have no clue. This kid literally tried to eat through my car door. Real court case, real evidence, and a hole in the door.

Once again, let me re-iterate, Tasers were introduced to Law enforcement to REDUCE OFFICER INJURIES. When someone is kicking, screaming, squirming, attempting to kick the patrol windows out, YES, you WILL GET TASED....I AM NOT GOING TO GO HANDS ON and risk being kicked in the face (ie. broken nose) or in the groin, and I am not going to risk getting bit by you, and possibly contracting Hepatitis or HIV.....bottom line is, if I arrested you, then you are in my custody and care, and I cannot and will not allow you to hurt yourself or someone else, and if I have to Tase you to stop it, then so be it.....TRUST me, getting Tased hurts, yes, but its not as bad as some of you make it out to be, I had to be tased before I could carry one....it hurts like you woudn't believe for the 5 seconds that it occurs, but immediately afterwards, you're 100% again and ready to rock and roll.

Yawn.

I have not watched the video of the woman being tasered in the back seat of the car. I have watched the one of the fool in Florida. The Florida offender was tasered because he was resisting arrest. Nowhere is it written that I have to wrestle with someone resisting being handcuffed.

Go study use of force, state laws, and standard department policies governing use of force.

Sorry but I don't have much sympathy for someone who resists arrest.

If you resist arrest you will get tasered. Police are people too. They have families who they work to support. They have no way of distinguishing how much a person is going to resist and do not want to find out too late.
When the police tell you to get on the ground or put your hands up, and a person fails they get tasered. And rightfully so.

I'm with the cop on this one. I just watched the vid.

When a cop tells you to get out of your car and you don't, and then tries to make you get out of the car and you resist, you are just asking for trouble. She's lucky he didn't go upside her head with his knight stick.

True, they probably could have gotten her out with out using the taser, but then one of the cops might have gotten hurt, and she likely could have gotten hurt more in the scuffle than she was hurt by the taser.

Most of the police in the US are nothing but triger happy bullies which only able to harass and taser citizens. It is very sad that certain useful idiots here blindly defending police actions.

I have not seen the video or know about this particular incident. However, If I have to go hands on (which means you are not complying with my orders) with someone I am arresting, you will be sprayed or tazed or both before I do.

Moral of the story is that if you decide to resist, you'll come out second best one way or another. It's not a game out there.
Cops don't get paid to fight. We get paid to enforce the law.
Resist at your own risk.
