Talk to your friend about it first. If she has really strong feelings for him and it will hurt her then i wouldn't because friends are there till the end. If it isn't going to hurt her then go for it!

Some girls would be very upset by that. I had a friend in high school who I knew that if she ever had the slightest feeling for someone, that meant he was off limits to me for all of eternity (even if she never even dated him). She would just have gotten too pissed if I went out with someone she had had a crush on. Luckily, I thought her taste in men was terrible anyhow, so it wasn't really a problem for me. It was a problem for some of our other friends though.
I would talk to the girl first and try to gauge how she's going to feel about it. If your friendship is worth more than the guy and she will be upset by you asking him out, then maybe its not worth it. Guys come and go, you know.
At the same time, you have to wonder what kind of friend would deny you happiness like that just because she wasn't getting what she wanted? I ended up thinking that with my friend in high school, even if I didn't want the guys she wanted.
Its kind of a double edged sword. Put yourself in her position. If she asked him out, would it be wierd for you?

Friends should stick together. Be a good friend , and DONT DO THIS. girls are competitive enough as it is, this is an area that will only turn out bad. If you truly feel that this man is for you, I would wait a long while and let her get a b/f, and then ask her if it would be okay. I'm sure by then she won't care.. But ONLY if it's okay with your pal.

You can't do it and neither can she. It's not right to go for a guy that your friend likes. Not until one of you finds a new guy to like. Otherwise theres going to be some underlying resentment going on and you guys won't be real friends. It's better to just forget the guy and keep the friend. Trust me!

I no how it fills me and my friend done the same thing and now shes going out with the boy i used to like. I was annoyed at first but then i thought boys shouldnt come between a girl n her best friends. so if you like him i think you should go for it. if your friend is close to you and really cares she wont be too angry or mad =] and forgive you like i did to my friend =]
hope this helps.. ♥

Depends how much you like them and how close you and this friend are, But then again that could get complicated. I would just stay away from that situation. Trust me there are other guys out there.

My friends and I have this rule where we can't date each others brothers or ex. and if we both like the same guy than we both ask whats more important our friendship or a guy. so you and your friend should do the same. And if you feel that by asking him out may ruin your friendship than don't do it.

i think you should talk it over with your friend but if you really like him, i mean really really then i still wouldn't do it, would you rather go with a boy or lose your best friend. The boy might not be in your life for long but your friend is always there and in your heart. but if your friend is a back-stabber then go for it lol

No, but, put it to your girlfriend you like him and you're going to ask him out. And, leave it to her or him, he might say 'no', but, that's have the fun.

Tell her, you put the question to Yahoo. In case she has a little temper:)

Depends on how well you like your friend. I personally think both of you should move on and forget about him.
