I have an email with a job application that they want filled ahead of time and I cant open it.It says FILE TYPE:application/msword,I am running xp home.Which program do I use?Help! I want this job!

Try Wordpad

If that doesn't work you'll need to download "Word Viewer".

what microsoft word are you using?? MSword2007 or MSword2003??? if the file youve downloaded has an extension .doc both of these mswords would read it but if the file has an extension .docx msword2007 can only open it... try to open youre downloaded file to the wordpad if you have... maybe youre msword is not working

If it is a Word Document then the file extension should be ".doc"

You need Word, WordPad, NotePad to open it. If you open it with WordPad or NotePad, you will lose the original formatting of the document.
