hjsplit is a good program that splits the files into whatever sizes you want.. the file will have a file extension *.001 , *.002 , *.003 etc.. Then you can use the same program to mend the files back together. Get it free @ http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit

In general, you don't. One ISO file is generally ONE disk, so a 2.7 GB ISO is obviously a DVD or some sort.
You *could* split it by opening the ISO, extracting the separate files, divide them up into 4 CDs, THEN rewrite the installer to prompt for the 4 CD's separately, but that'll be far more time consuming than you realize.
Just use something like WSPLIT and JSPLIT or WinRAR or WinZIP span function and put it onto multiple CDs, so you can reconstruct the file on the HD later.

you ought to write it do a twin layer DVD .. yet ... you will possibly be able to desire to cut up the DVD into 2 disks - for this you ought to apply DVD Fab or VobBlanker. this might create 2 DVDs. yet be careful, whilst they reassemble, you will might desire to persist with the layer wreck regulations (in basic terms be sure disk a million has extra documents on it than disk 2). in case you prefer ISOs from those 2 DVDs, then use ImgToolClassic

You could split it into rar or par files. Then when you want to use it you would have to copy then to a hard drive and recombine them.

To the best of my knowledge you cant as it is an image file.
The only suggestion I can make is you burn the whole image to a DVD.
