I've believed in God for as long as I can remember. How do I know he exists? Well it has to do with belief and faith, without having a care in the world. I believe I am protected by God, he has given me the gift of life, and love by my children and husband. I look into the faces of my kids and know he exist. And if anything bad happens, such as if I'm murdered by some crazy person, is it God's fault. No, it's not. Every person has the opportunity to choose what they are doing, right or wrong, therefore it's the person that did it not God. Every thing I go through makes me a stronger person, because I have my faith of Jesus to know that I'm going to get through this and I'm going to be able to go on. Is there a heaven, I believe there is. To tell the truth if this life is all we have and then we die and then nothing.... what is the point of living? What's the point of getting up every morning? Growing old? The life of a non-believer sounds so sad to me. Not to have faith that there is something better than this world, and not having the opportunity to see loved ones again, that just doesn't make sense to me. What would be the purpose of us being here?

There is no proof. No compelling evidence.
If there was how many different religions do you think there would be? Atheists would be almost non-existent.
The 'evidence' for the existence of god is probably worse than the 'evidence' for the existence of dragons, mermaids and unicorns.
Looking for evidence in the bible is like reading the Harry Potter books for evidence that Hogwarts is a real school. Except the Harry Potter books are not full of contradictions and errors.
You can not disprove the existence of a general deity. The supernatural requirement for a god makes it beyond any scientific proof. However I would argue that the Christian definition of an all powerful, all knowing, all loving god it logically incompatible with the world as we see it, and incompatible with the Christian ideas of free will and hell.

Well, I see three thumbs down on your first answer, not a good thing to see, it was the truth! Jesus told us how to make peace with God ( John 3:16 - 18). And it was Jesus who promised the Holy Spirit at the end of John 15, and in the midst of John 16. The Holy Spirit is proof to those who trust God and turn their hearts to Him. That's why Christians seem to be overconfident. We have been influenced to the truth. We don't have to look into other religions to find God because we have already met Him.
There is much more I can write about this, but you didn't ask more in this question. I have no idea how you are going to respond o what I have written so far. I wouldn't want to waste my time on someone who rejects the truth when they see it.
So the answer was given t you. Will you accept it or deny it?

I am convinced there is life after death for one reason: Jesus Christ died and was placed in a tomb—and three days later came back to life.
Think about it a moment: What would it take to prove to us that there is life after death? The answer is clear: Someone would have to die, and then come back to life again. It wouldn't be enough for them to have a so-called "near-death" experience; their death would have to be real. And it wouldn't be enough for only one or two people to see them; it would require many witnesses.
But has this ever happened? Yes—when Jesus Christ rose from the grave! His death was real; hard-bitten Roman guards made sure He was dead before they took Him down from the cross. And His resurrection was real also, because hundreds saw Him during the next forty days. Paul, writing over 25 years later, noted that "he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living" (1 Corinthians 15:6).
How could this happen? It happened because Jesus Christ was not just another man. He was God's only Son, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. Only He could say, "I am the resurrection and the life. ... Whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25-26). This can be your hope, by giving your life to Christ today.

And now you have the material for faith. Faith is believing in something that you cannot see and the courage and conviction to adhere to your belief.
Non-Christian's are as faithful in their belief (no God) as Christian's are in the belief that there is a God.
Do we know that God exists? It doesn't make any difference what WE believe. What do you think? If you believe he/she does than he/she does and you shouldn't be swayed by folk who believe otherwise.
Unenlightened non-believers will tell you that to believe in God means that you need a crutch. Unenlightened believers will tell you that the non-believer is going to Hell. Each are simply parroting words that they heard before and the reality is.... What do you believe?
Is there a heaven? Maybe.....maybe not.
How do we really know....we don't or if you truly believe in a God that cares for YOU....then at the end of this life experience there is a continuation of existence and it is called eternity and heaven. The non-believer has faith that there is nothing past this life and it is the big dirt nap.
Which road really makes sense to you? Don't listen to what either side has to say....listen to what you hear inside. Trust that.

How do you want me to prove that there is a God and that there is a heaven?
The very structure of the universe tells us that there is a God. It doesn't really matter for the time being if the universe started with a "big bang" (or small bang, pun intended). Because however it started, somebody must have prepared it to be in the exact way. A miniscule of a mistake can really make monkeys out of us.
Heaven? Now, if you believe that there is a God, then heaven is for real. He has told about it a gazillion of times in the Holy Bible. Check it out for yourself....

We can be assured through the witness of His Spirit. I know for sure that God exists because His Spirit is within me. Before I had His Spirit I knew He existed because of creation. I am talking about planets, stars, space, time and life. People will say the Big Bang caused all this. If that was the case then who caused the Big Bang. Someone or something had to be the cause for the Big Bang. The only logical explination is God. He is timeless becasue He set time in motion. We are talking about a Being that transends all the things I mentioned.

Your best bet is to go straight to the source, and ask God to show you the truth. Have you ever seen the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? There is a scene where Indiana must cross over a bottomless chasm in order to save his father. Time is short and the only way he can get over in time is to just step out onto the thin air. In his mind he can't see how this is going to work, but out of desperation he steps out and- ta-dah! There had been a bridge of solid rock secretly standing in front of him the whole time.
It's the same with god. You'll never know He's there right in front of you until you step out on faith.

It's a belief thing.
I don't buy it, it isn't logical at all.
None of the other "inexplicable" things exist....
How does santa get all the toys to all the children of the world?.......No santa!
How does the tooth fairy know i lost a tooth?.....no fairy
Why does a giant rabbit bring you BOILED eggs?.... with paint on them, no less........No Easter Bunny
How did copperfield make that rabbit appear?....wait theres a cage under the table with a trap door, he reaches "through" the hat....nice illusion
Am I catching a trend here?
Eventually we should all grow up, and get in touch with reality.....we can't be children forever.

You have to believe with faith, if he showed himself it would be easy to believe- a cowardly faith. God wants you to be strong in faith, and know by what is unseen, not by what is seen. If God does not exist than how is it that most of us know murder is wrong, or why helping others feels good? What seperates us from the animals? Our conscience, our values, those are reasons that it only makes sense that there is a God. As far as heaven, its like dreams kind of, when your body is in rest, your soul/mind keep going.
