LimeWire is rather safer than Ares.
Check your Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, and if that doesn't work either.. Try defraging your PC, if this doesn't work..
Right click on the drive where you had saved LimeWire on
Properties > Tools > Error checking, and schedule it for your next restart. If this fails, then.. Go to your Program Files, and see for LimeWire.. If its there, just delete the folder
And, if all fails..
Try Restoring your PC to the time before you installed LimeWire

Did you uninstall it properly?
Not just deleted the folder in Windows Explorer?
Normally... the proper way to remove a program is to go to "Add- Remove programs" in control panel.
If everything fails... use "Restore" to get it back when everything was working... before installing it again.
