Hi-
I've recently been feeling very, very tired. I'm often hungry, a few pounds heavier and feeling down. I know that this could be caused by a thyroid problem, but I was checked for it 2 years ago, could it have cropped up since then?
I also recently stopped taaking the mood stabilizer Lamictal, but that should not have this effect.
Any experiences? Thanks!

Your tiredness & feeling down, could be caused from no longer being on the mood stabilizer. Did your doctor take you off the medicine or did you do it? If you took yourself off the medicine, let your doctor know, & he will probably put you back on it. Some medications can cause weight gain, so ask your doctor about that also. Yes, hypothroidism can mock some of the symptoms you're experiencing now. See your doctor about have your thyroid levels checked. Changes can & will occur after a few years of being tested last. See your doctor soon. I am very familiar with hypothroidism, as I have it myself & have the yearly bloodwork done to check my thyroid levels. Feel better soon. :)

I’m sure you are well aware that there’s no shortage of information on the internet, especially when it comes to Hypothyroidism.
The good news is that all of this information helps to bring much needed awareness to Hypothyroidism and the DEVASTATING effects it can have on your life.
But what if I told you that 95% of hypothyroidism sufferers, like yourself, are using treatment options that are actually causing more harm than good… making you more hypothyroid every day?
Why?
Because they are based entirely on misinformation instead of sound and scientific research.
The real question is… How can you protect yourself from this misinformation and from becoming just another one of these 95% of sufferers who are doing it all wrong?
Well, I just found this great hypothyroidism resource which will really help clear up the confusion for you. The following video I’m about to share with you contains a lot of great information on how to naturally overcome hypothyroidism by stopping it directly at the source.
The best part is that it’s actually based on scientific research… Scientific research that I will bet that you have never even seen before.

Hypothyroidism is thyroid hormone deficiency. It is diagnosed by clinical features such as a typical facies, hoarse slow speech, and dry skin, and by low levels of thyroid hormones. Management includes treatment of the underlying cause and administration of thyroxine.
Lamotrigine is used to treat certain types of seizures in patients who have epilepsy or Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (a disorder that causes seizures and often causes developmental delays). Lamotrigine is also used to increase the time between episodes of depression, mania (frenzied or abnormally excited mood), and other abnormal moods in patients with bipolar I disorder (manic depressive disorder; a disease that causes episodes of depression, episodes of mania, and other abnormal moods). Lamotrigine has not been shown to be effective when people experience the actual episodes of depression or mania, so other medications must be used to help people recover from these episodes. Lamotrigine is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain.
Bupropion (Wellbutrin, Wellbutrin SR, Wellbutrin XL) is used to treat depression. Bupropion (Wellbutrin XL) is also used to treat seasonal affective disorder (SAD; episodes of depression that occur in the fall and winter each year).Bupropion (Zyban) is used to help people stop smoking. Bupropion is in a class of medications called antidepressants. It works by increasing certain types of activity in the brain.
Please see the web pages for more details on Hypothyroidism, Lamotrigine (generic name) Lamictal (brand name) and Bupropion (generic name) Wellbutrin (brand name).
