I like it when an older woman goes a little lighter -- or at least have lots of highlights in her hair. I think it looks better than really dark dye, which doesn't seem to look as good when applied to gray hair.

I've always thought that lighter colors would be more flattering if the woman's hair was growing in gray. Even better than that, you won't have to dye it as often, because the gray/blonde would look nice together, while the black would look terrible with gray roots. But if you like darker hair (as I do) just go with it. Hair dye can easily be changed, and if you have your hairdresser do it, he/she will give you the best advice.

blonder because darker will make you look harsher, AND when your hair starts to grow out the greys wont be as noticable with the blonde!!! If u did darker the greys would be very noticable.

First of all it depends on the women. Secondly darker colors bring out lines and wrinkles in the face and neck. I have always been told the older you get the lighter your hair should get. Lighter colors compliment the aging process. So God knew what he was doing by choosing grey and making it graceful.

I believe your natural color of hair would be more flattering around your face with some lighter highlights however light you want to go . Thats what I do and I'm 56 and I get alot of compliments! The highlights help soften wrinkles like grey hair is suppose too. Hope this helps.

Did you ever notice how Mother Nature tends to compensate. Well she makes your hair gray or white to compensate for your age lines. The lighter hair tends to help lessen the lines in our face.
I would say go lighter. Maybe not blond but definitely lighter.
Good Luck.

Blonder. Dark shades on older women make their faces look harsh. I started going lighter in my late 30's and I think I look better.

definately blonder, the grays won't show as much. But it also depends on the person. has this person had dark hair all their life? then she should do dark. It all depends. But in general I would say blonde.

I think that darker would look more flattering, personally. (as my friend agrees with me on this.) Blonder just seems to make you look like you're trying too hard, on certain people. It is ultimately your choice, but I would go with a darker color.
