He's 55 and has always lived with my parents. Hardly ever worked. Has ocd, and a really bad attitude. My mother died in 94 and my dad had a complete breakdown a yr later. My brother had my dad sign everything over to him, house cd's bank accounts ect. There was a will i saw in 84 that everything would be split equally. He took advantage of dads illnes and dad died in 2005. Brother was a mamas boy and she also had mental problems. He has no friends, sees things only in black and white, if you don't agree with him, your wrong. He hates everyone and is so tight with his (Dad's) money. Still wears clothes he had for over 20 yrs with holes in them. I haven't spoken to him in a yr and don't want to. he's afraid of germs and washes clothes in pinesol. Just thinking of him makes me sick. So what do you think of big brother? The song, Mother by Pink Floyd comes to mind for me.

I don't think your brother is apt to change.

And if your father signed things over to your brother, and he was mentally incompetent, and if you want to take this further, talk to an attorney.

that's the best answer i can think of.

meanwhile, dont' let your brother get on your nerves or run your emotions. take care of YOU.. no one else will.

For one if you have medicial documents proving your Father wasn't metally sound at the time papers were signed over to him you can contest it in court and win if statues of limitation don't apply. Check the laws in your State pretaining to this issue. In most if not all States no one metally unsound can sign or enter into a binding contract.

I still try and not judge people... If he chooses to live like that then so be it. You don't want any relationship at all with him, and that is fine too. He did pull one over on your parents and that is a shame.
He does sound unstable/mentally ill.

He sounds really depressed and yes he has mental problems. i am not saying this to be funny. He had ocd and can't see colors that is something to be stressed about. Also he sounds grouchy, like maybe he is unhappy with his life. It's got to be hard not to have friends. He probably needs you. I would say he's stressed, lonely, grouchy, pissed about life and that he's bored.

Your brother sounds like he has some issues mostly mental. There isn't much you can do about unfortunately. It is sad that he used your father like he did.

Best thing to do is to have little to do with him and live your life.

At 55, he is not going to change, he should have been in therapy a long time ago.
