I think that it's great that they're putting in the effort and they're really trying to make a change in their lives, so keep it up. Some people will stare cuz some people are stupid, but just think that in a few months they will be staring at the new slim & trim you so keep that in mind and keep, walking, jogging, running, whatever, just keep active! Good luck!! You can do it!!

if you start jogging, they wont be watchin your fat jiggle for long i can assure you - cos if you combine that with a healthy diet you will lose weight quick
i know it makes you feel self conscious , so maybe you could wear baggy clothing so nobody sees the fat jiggle lol.. but i wouldnt let a few prying eyes put you off achieving your goal
I just read the bit you added. Listen dont let any retard driving by in a car put you down or make you feel bad - the man is clearly an idiot. How dare he shout ANYTHING to you and your child? You are doing something very positive and have much right to be out on the street, walking, jogging, cartwheeling, pogo-sticking or anything else you bloody want to do. Cant believe the nerve of some people!!

A friend of mine once said, "It's none of my business what other people think about me." So what if we jiggle and bounce? You'll probably never see those people again. The fact here is you want to loose weight.
Starting with walking your child is a good start. I don't know how heavy you are, but it's always good to start out easy. And pushing a stroller 2-3 miles and try up hills. It is not that easy. Another friend lost quite a bit JUST with the stroller and would build up the mileage when the 3 would get easier to handle. So don't despair. How long did it take to gain the weight? Give it time and it will work.
Jogging and running has been proven to not be good on the female body and depending on your weight can be hard on your knees also. Do you have a bicycle or even roller skates to have a fun form of cross exercise between the stroller walks?
As you get lighter, say 150-160, or less, you could try to do a form of aerobics. I jazzercised over three years and not only lost weight but built up and toned my muscles and really looked good. Wear a real snug exercise top and there's tights too. Again, make sure they are very snug. This helps keep the fat from jiggling and is easier on your skin and breast tissue. Good shoes are very important.
Your diet makes a big difference. I watch my intake of fats, sugar, and limit my carbs or calories. You HAVE to have energy from food to exercise so don't go on one of these loose weight fast diets. You have to learn a new way of eating and stick to it. With the fad diets, the weight usually comes right back if you go back to your way of eating that causes the weight to come back.
One thing to remember. Muscle weights more than fat and fat takes up more room. As you exercise and start building up muscle, you might think you're not loosing much at times. Ditch the scale and go by the way your clothes fit.
Good luck and keep on trucking on. Just be patient with it. It will happen if you don't give up. God bless you in your efforts.

Everyone has a different excersie regime. It has to be different because everyone isn't the same. If you feel comfortable/able to run/jog then that's great. And if everyone wants to look, then let them. who cares. You have to do what you're comfortable with and what feels right. Don't over-do it as that can cause more problems. Try jogging and if you feel too self conscious then resume walking. I'm overweight as well. The track I walk on near my house has a few other overweight people there so I don't feel so "watched". You could just walk with your child, then try a gym for the harder stuff, like Curves, where there are overweight woman and no one watching you like a hawk.

Walking 2-3 miles is probably more beneficial than running, and it puts less stress on your heart. Having a consistent walking schedule will help you build a stronger body. And don't worry about what other people may think, if you feel like jogging, go for it! :)

hey there I'm in the same boat as you i, really didn't want to go to the gym or do running or anything because i was worried about ppl watching me or judging me but i knew i wasn't happy with my weight and i knew i had to do something about it and the only way was to confront my fear so i just went out jogging one day and realized that ppl didn't care what i was doing, at the end of the day i thought I'm judged for being fat and ill b judged for the way i look whilst exercising so i decided what the hell i now go to the gym and i jog every evening so the way i look at it is what does it matter what everybody thinks! good luck xx

Do what aver you feel is right for you, I usually run or jog 5k everyday which is like 3 miles, If I'm in a hurry a run at speed of 6 miles and hour, if not I take my sweet time and do it at 4.2 mph, but if you are a little overweight make sure you get yourself a very "VERY" nice bra for high impact so the "girls" keep in place and don't get hurt, this is very important, I'm not kidding. good luck!

♥ Good for you for getting out there and walking. You know the funny thing is when you arent doing anything people say "Shes just lazy... " and when you are doing something they say "Why's she trying to lose weight... no one wants to see her jiggle". I'm overweight and have heard them both.... so its a hard situation... I would keep walking for awhile, maybe try to pic up your pace a little that way you aren't walking slowly but your not jogging either.... work your way up to jogging and running.... Good Luck!
