See my friend, it did not hurt me a bit to give you a star for this one, Well stated and nice wording.

My answer is in my opinion we do not need to be saved from God, by God for being the way he made us in the first place. We need to be saved from ourselves for we just do not know how to handle what we are, why we are the way we are, and the fact that we are what we are because that is the perfect plan of God.

To put this in easier to understand words, "easy come, easy go in one way" or in words I think you desire to hear, "It makes more sense if we are the results of 'random selection' rather than the results of an intelligent entity by intelligent design"

Those who have come to realize the fact that they are from God, the way God made them and truly accept that as a fact and not just an idea or a thought only have to desire a change to be reunited with God and the saving is a free, automatic in place permanent closed issue. You see God did set us apart from Him and then told all that it is not good for man to be alone [without God or set apart from God}. Once this is recognized as a fact and acted upon the reuniting is accomplished.

To see this reword your question in your mind only as: "Why do we need to be reunited with God for being the way God made us in the set apart condition." This way it is clear that the answwer is because it is not good to be set apart from the head of the universe, the owner of it all, the creator, and the one who did design by forming and making all mankind.

Do have a good day my friend.

It makes no sense to me either.

And what makes even LESS sense to me is that in the Christian doctrine, even after the big OOPS of Genesis and God having to make contingency plans to save his creation from his own incomprehensible form of justice (children paying for the sins of their forefathers) the VAST MAJORITY still will not be saved anyway.

Certain Christians love to assert that only THEIR denomination has it right and are the REAL Christians. They also like to quote, 'Broad is the path to destruction and MANY are on it."

So it seems from the Christian standpoint, this whole experiement with earth and mankind is for the most part a complete failure. that concludes with BILLIONS of human souls from past, present and future being tormented forever in hell with no other purpose in life but to be tormented.

And just a handful of the "RIGHT" kind of Christians in heaven.

Sometimes when certain Christians preach to me about this, I have to ask, "What really is the GOOD NEWS here?" seems like such a depressing waste to me. I'd be depressed 24/7 if I actually BELIEVED that was the real explanation for the purpose of life on earth and the final outcome of things.

Interesting how Christians defend this position by placing responsibility on the least powerful or knowledgable players. Do they also have toddler arrested by the police if they get into their purse or wallet that was left lying around in easy reach?

Fundamental law of the universe: Power = Responsibility. You have power over that for which you are responsible, and you are responsible for that over which you have power.

If the deity is omnipotent, the deity is also ultimately responsible for everything. The fact that it does not take responsibility indicates a severe dysfunction. A lot of people recognize this and we know it's not right. AND we put our belongings on the high shelf.

Interesting the Christians are saying it's not God's fault. Your imaginary god created everything therefore he also created sin, good, and evil as well as satan. Either he is the BIG KAHUNA or he isn't ,stop weasaling out of things with irrational explanations.

This is probably the best question I've seen on here since I joined. it cuts so succinctly to the heart of why the whole God thing is so utterly ridiculous. You get a star for summing it all up so neatly.

Because god can never admit mistakes or fault... no matter what happened, it's always someone else's fault. Just ask Adam, Pharaoh, and Job.

The famous circular reasoning of christians, and the merry myth book. The book is true because it says it is. How can you argue with that kind of thinking?

We are no longer the way God made us. Sin has separated us from God and from the ability to live according to His laws and His will. The results of sin is death. This is a fact just as real as the results of jumping from a 10 story building. God has made a way for us to be restored to our original state and thus avoid the results of sin. That is what salvation is all about.
