I astral project at will in my sleep. Your body shuts down and your spirit body travels through the Universe. It starts by mechanical sounds and then a high screeching sound follows as you fly through the tunnels.
The screeching sound usually scares people and they stop. However, the screeching sound is actually caused by the energy of the tunnel propelling you through the astral plane. You are going so fast that it creates that sound of movement before you begin your journey.
You are with your physical body the whole time. So there is no danger there. Because you are experiencing two different realities at once. So there is no fear of death.
It takes great faith and of letting go to astral project. All you find are more aspects of yourself in space and time. Visiting other life times. Visiting the future. Visiting other spirits. You will learn that after you astral project you will have more questions than answers.
There is much out there that can only be experienced after you are gone from your spiritual body. The Universe is a vast powerful playground of multi-dimensional experiences. Your physical life here is only one reality and one experience.
If you open your mind you will find more possibilities of self discovery and spiritual development.

Background info: I was a mormon, mormons believe that Joseph Smith saw an angel to start his church, they also believe that God's name Elohim and he lived on a star or planet called Kolob (journal of discourses) .
OK knowing this, you can understand why I am very skeptical about what I experienced when I was a kid (4 or 5). An angel appeare in my kitchen and took my hand and my body stayed in the kitchen, but my spirit went with him, into space (kind of like going were no man has gone before) and I saw all the planets and went to a planet outside fo the milky way and was put between two angels. I felt very loved, kind of high, I guess and then I don't remember how I got back. (maybe I am still there-LOL). So being and ex-mormon, I have to assume, the mormon angel moroni, came to get me and take me to Kolob were Elohim lives. I became suicidal after that because I had never felt that kind of joy again and wanted to feel it some more and die and be with God, but then he would be mad at me for just ending my life to be with him.
I had to get saved to get over it all. Still don't know what the heck it was that happen.

Yes, if you are able to push past, it just simply feels like a split in yourself, almost dream like, but your completely aware of everything around you, you feel a certain panic feeling, but yet calm at the same time. If you are seeking to know if you have ever done it...you would know.

One time, I passed gas in a crowded elevator.
Believe me when I tell you.......everyone in there went to a different place in their spirits after that.
