My friends all eat really nice looking sandwiches made by their mums at lunch. My peanut butter sandwiches frantically made by myself before going to school, look pathetic in comparison. What can i put in mine that doesn't take too long?

There's all sorts of goodies out there for you Daisy, - if you have patience and a little bit more of your time you could go one better and have yourself a little "picnic" everyday:
Get yourself an airtight box - a size that is right for you.
Fill it with salad and maybe a few grapes with a couple of chunks of crusty fresh bread rather than a plain old buttie.
Or chop up tiny squares of cheese or ham with baby stix of celery, take an apple or banana, if you are really short on time some days, ham on fancy bead, yoghurt's or jelly pots,
Find time to do it - you'll be pleased you did when they drool over YOUR picnic. Have fun & enjoy......xxx

Some things I like to put in my sandwiches are;

Jam
Chocolate Spread
Cheese & Pickle
Cheese & Marmite

Pate
Ham
Cooked Chicken / Turkey
Pre-cooked Mini Chicken Tikka Fillets
German Sausage Slices
Cheese
Tuna Mayo (Mash up tinned tuna with mayonaise or salad cream)

Ready-made sandwich fillers like coronation chicken etc.

Add any combination of Lettuce / Mayo / Salad Cream / Sour Cream Dip / Sweet Chilli Dip / Coleslaw / Cucumber / Tomatoes / Onion etc. to the above to spice them up?

Try making them the night before to save time in the morning?

You really can put anything in a sandwich! Some more unusual things I've seen are spicy chicken with chopped up onion bahji's & mango chutney, and once I saw a shop that sells pie sandwiches! (also known as a Pie-wich!) Just let your imagination run free...

Try buying things at the supermarket and throwing them together. You can get pre-cooked chicken and a jar of sun-dried tomatoes and put it all together in a sandwich with some green salad (pre-packed and pre-washed from the shops of course). Or get a pot of live basil (for a couple of quid), pluck a few leafs, rinse in water and throw those in the sandwich as well.

Or if you find the pre-cooked chicken a bit on the rubbish side, try with some ementhal cheese, or mozarella, or even goat's cheese. Yum!

And try different breads/rolls/wraps just for more interest. Seeded rolls and breads are great, so are wraps with tomato. Experiment and enjoy.

If you've got all the stuff, it only takes 5 minutes tops to put it all together.

Try making them the night before when you have got a bit more time, wrap them and put in fridge, then no rush in the morning.

It all depends on your taste: my fav sandwich is cream cheese, ham and thinly sliced celery. Or tuna, cucumber and sweetcorn in a bit of mayonnaise. Chicken and sweetcorn. Anything really, just make a bit of time the night before, and you can be as choosy about what you want to put in it. If you eat cheese a lot, i would grate some and have some in the fridge in a sealed container so you have it there whenever you want it.

don't eat peanut butter so often,it's unhealthy.instead you can make yourself a nice cheese sandwich with some cheddar cheese and fresh cucumbers.add some basil if you like or oregano to improve the taste. carry a small battle of ayran,it's so good for the metabolism and it's nutritious.
or, make yourself a tuna sandwich, you can add some mayo if you like and some slices of pickles and there you go.food that's good for your brain!

Try to make your sandwiches at night before you go to bed...leave them in the fridge...they'll be fine overnight.
My Mom is a nurse (now retired) and I know what it's like to be the kid with the lunch NOT made by Mom...
Turkey, ham, cheese, mustard, lettuce, pimento cheese, tomatoes, all make good, healthy sandwiches. I used to cut my sandwich corner-to-corner so it would like Mom did it...

Make your sandwich the night before and then stick it in the fridge! You could do almost anything you want then and you won't have to rush in the morning!

My hubby wants Dijon, mayo, 6 slices of deli ham, and a slice of American. It takes me less than 5 minutes.

My favorite right now is pesto, onion cream cheese, deli chicken slices, and provolone.
