y does religion say that a girl should not go to the temple during menstruation?

Now from the answers I understand that even in Jewish religion,christianity this cutom is there.In Hindu religion also, the same custom or rule ,-whatever it is- there.The ladies do not go to temples for 3 days.I have no right to talk about other Religions. Because the men who wrote the bible thought it was disgusting and part of punishment from God. So they banned women during this time. It' wasn't about Tampax or any other rationalization. In Islam they won't let women touch the Qua'ran when they are menstrating. Eve was punished because of original sin. That law trancended into other aspects of religion.
