The bible is not real life honey. Revelations was written to scare you into doing what the leaders of that time (and apparently now) want you to do and how they want you to live your life. There is nothing to be afraid of. Just be a good person and live your life.

It was actually written for inspirational purposes during that time when early Christians were being prosecuted, the Babylon mentioned was referring to the Roman Empire at that time, it's like people were frightened by 666 but more recent findings from a fragment of the oldest surviving copy of the NT says it's actually 616 and it might refers to Caligula if based on the gematria system, so most fears about the Apocalypse are imaginary however the world will naturally end one day which might have nothing to do with the Revelation where the author as which John is still questionable.

properly you want to study the preface, in the adventure that your Bible has one. lots of the language of Revelations is in code, the rationalization being the Christians were being persecuted on the time(this replaced into almost continuously happening in Rome). lots of the failings reported have allready handed off; this replaced into written so as that different Christians might want to stay hopeful of better days ahead. this is not any longer all 'scarey' prophecy and horror, interior the end Jesus returns advantageous. you would possibly want to favor to get a Concordance which could grant you with extra information from the theologians who study it in its historic placing.

The chances are that you will not be around when the things spoken of in Revelations come to pass so why spend your life in needless worry?
Secondly, God will comfort and take care of His faithful even if that means some pain and discomfort,no pain no gain, no cross no crown.

Talk to someone in church who can hook you up with a bible study for the book of Revelation. This may help. Yes, it will be intense. Be sure they know of your fear, and maybe they can help you to understand and lose some of the fear.

Actually, Revelation isn't all that scary. Some of the interpretations are pretty out there, but the actual book is fairly tame.

I think if you read it again, you will be surprised.

revelations is about what is going to happen in the future, and you need not be afraid of it if you are a Christian as we will not be affected by it.if you are not a Christian, the rapture will happen and take only the people believe in Jesus Christ.so if you are non Christian and does not want them to happen and admit that you are a sinner and need Jesus, pray the salvation prayer and you will not need to fear the book of revelation as it will not happen to you but god's revenge on people and also is way to get people attention on god so more people will realise God is real.so there is nothing to fear in revelations and since you think the bible is true you should know that God died for us and so be a believer that Jesus died for your sins and will not be affected.

Don't be afraid of that book. If you read it in it's entirety it is not at all scary. It talks of Michael the Archangel's triumph over Satan and of the wonderful future that awaits faithful mankind. My favorite verse in the entire bible is in Revelation.

Revelation 21:3,4 - "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say, 'Look, the tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God Himself will be with them. And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away.
