Kind of the same as the other question, but more encompassing. Atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, Muslim, etc. How many of you have not read the bible?
In my observations most atheists and agnostics have read it, but I am also curious about followers of other religions.
And Yes, I have read it. A few different versions. And I am an atheist.

I'm not religious, perhaps agnostic. Anyways, I was raised in a Christian home and have read much of the bible. Probably about as much as your average Church goer, my observation is that most Church goers have not read the bible in it's entirety, but the parts the Church finds advantageous and Church) and I attended bible study weekly as a teenager and then some extras for an organized bible study. I did go to private Christian schools (run by the Christian Reformed) both which included books about hte bible and then church (mostly baptist, not American fundamentalist Baptist) almost every Sunday from the ages 7 to 18. Yes, I did listen to the sermons which were not nearly as intellectual as my schooling.

Agnostic here. No, I haven't read the whole thing. I've tried a few times and just haven't been able to sit down and read it all the way through. But I do enjoy looking up scriptures that are recommended to me and I did a bit of Bible study as a child, though none of it really stuck.

Honestly, I have read the bible but not any of the other books. I would like to as I want to try to understand why everyone else is crazy too.

It'd be more interesting to find out how many fundamentalist Christians, who say they believe every word of the Bible, have *read* every word of the Bible.
They don't keep kosher. They don't hesitate to shave. They wear cotton/polyester blends. And they seem to think there's nothing wrong with killing Iraqi citizens.

I'm a non-theistc Pagan and I read the KJV.
Not because I wanted to, but because it was necessary for an English class to understand Biblical allusions.
