In Lamentations, Jeremiah is lamenting feeling great sorrow 4 his beloved people who behaved like we do when we kids. God told them lovingly: B sure not 2 do this & that, & then they did it & God said " if you don't stop at a red light per se, you will be paralzyed for life perhaps". Can U see that God is so loving & tries so hard 2 get us 2 listen 2 HIs infinite wisdom & we do it our way, eventually we run the red light & then we lament like Jeremiah does in Lamentations in the Bible, & then God loves on us even tho we didn't listen to him
One verse we read like it happened 2000 years ago, but it is happening especially in 3rd world countries now is Jer. 2 mes version: My eyes R blind w- tears, my stomach in a knot.
My insides have turned 2 jelly over my people's fate.
Babies & children R fainting all over the place,
Calling 2 their mothers, "I'm hungry! I'm thirsty!"
then fainting like dying soldiers in the streets,
breathing their last in their mothers' laps

I realize Jeremiah's tears were for His people and not for himself but my heart is like his, I was an elem teacher and I lament over out icky world today, the deceit. If you don't agree with me, answer this question, If God for one hour had all people in the world who had lied in the last month, especially the modern world, drop to the ground and be paralyzed for an hour, how many honestly would be left standing , would you ?? be honest because sin of omission is a lie too and tiny white lies are lies, Lies and deceit and manipulation are all bad in God's eyes and remember, all sins are equal in His eyes, Yes, He forgives them all, but one must first recognize them and repent :)

Disobedient and rebellious children were to be brought before the elders of the city and stoned to death BUT BUT BUT ...... THERE IS NO BIBLICAL OR ARCHAEOLOGICAL evidence that his punishment was ever carried out, but the point was that disobedience and rebellion were not to be tolerated in the home or allowed to continute unchecked, and MY OPINION is tha today we do not make sure "rebellion in the home remains checked" we need to get with it and teach our kids to obey Godly parents so that they dont run the red light !~

Absolutely God's love is even much greater than any grand parent has to offer. I find the basic foundation of all is this love as I see the basic construction materials of water and earth as sourced in the love of My God and only a by product or result of this love. I learned this by an intent 25 year self study of the Bible.

I appreciate what you said my friend.

Do have a good day.

Most human parents don't condone the stoning of ill-mannered children. Not even fundamentalists.

God does.

Let me introduce you to Jesus, who fulfilled the Old Law, which is why we follow the New Testament.
