In a hypothethical situation let's say you are a Nascar driver and you are racing at Richmond. There's 2 laps to go and Gordon is in the lead and YOU are right on his bumper. Would you put the "Bump and Run" on Gordon?

All day long... If I had the car to get by him and he kept shutting the door on me (which I'm sure he would) then Yes, I would move him out of the way. I'm a huge Gordon fan, but I also am a huge fan of the bump and run. It's a part of racing that I hope never changes.

In theory the bump and run sounds innocent enough but Richmond is a COT race making this maneuver much harder. Remember when Gordon tried that on Jimmie Johnson at Martinsville? He slammed him for 20 laps or so and couldn't get by Jimmie without wrecking him. The stability of the COT and the way the bumpers line up is making the bump and run not near as effective as it is with "down force" cars.

I'd wait until the final lap, bump Gordon, make the pass and win. I'd keep my helmet on after the race, knowing that Gordon would only try to retaliate with his helmet on, because he's too wimpy to be a man and start a fight without a helmet. Gordon has done this same tactic to quite a few drivers, relishing his victories, but he whines(well, he whines win or lose) if another driver does this to him.
I've always liked the Dupont car, just not the driver.

If I was faster than Jeff Gordon at that point, sure I'd knock him out the way. It's certainly not the first time it's happened and will be far from the last.

I don't think I would bump somebody out of the way intentionally. I never had that reputation on the dirt tracks. I have always tried to pass the other guy without touching him unless he has a history of banging on me. I haven't been lucky enough to be bumped by Gordon yet.... LOL

Not with two laps left, that would create too much of a conspiracy. Although Matt Kenseth did it. If I was gonna bump ol' Jeffy boy I'ld bump him in the middle of the race, and make sure I was'nt wimpy enough not to finish in the top five!

I don't think alittle bump and run would hurt, if I had the fastest car I'd do it in a minute....hey give the crowd alittle excitement, Jeff has great skills, alittle bump and run he can totally deal with it, and not run into the wall or wreck anyone...

I would reenact the Labonte Ernhardt Bristol moments. In the early laps I'd race cleanly but with two to go I'd "get racey"

Hey... a little bump and run never hurt anybody. With Gordon's skill, he should be able to hold on to it, right?

Yeah....a little payback for what Gordon did to Kenseth at Chicagoland in '06.........I'm STILL not over that one.
