god doesn't have to speak to us. he shows his presence by making us feel it .yes when i pray to him i feel a sort of calmness covering my mind & body & i feel relieved of my anxities

Actually its a small, still voice. It is always kind , never harsh or demanding. It is a voice of authority, but never unkind.
