I agree with you. There is no reason to believe in a made up hell if Jesus died for "everyone's" sins. It's just another contradiction. The bible says that everyone will be forgiven, so you are getting a lot of wrong answers.
The Bible says that Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the whole world on the cross. Thus, everyone's sins since the crucifixion of Jesus have been forgiven whether they believe it or not. This is confirmed by the Scriptures:
John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

People who believe in "Hell" don't believe that everybody will be forgiven. That's because "Hell" is just a childish revenge-fantasy. These people like to think that they're going to Heaven while all the people who irritated them for whatever reason are going to Hell. Heaven wouldn't be as much fun if it wasn't exclusive.

Hell came before any of us. It wasn't meant for us. It takes a lot to get there.
Who said everyone will be forgiven? You have to ask for it first. How many people, right here on this site, do you see asking?

I think this needs to be addressed because the concept of hell exists within the Bible and if you're going to try to reconcile the forgiveness of everyone with the concept of hell, you must include both in your answer. But you do make a good point, they are incompatible or need to be resolved in ways that don't quite match with the way the Bible reads.

Because only the people who ask for forgiveness will be forgiven, everyone else gets Hell as a consolation prize.

The Bible expressly says that everyone will NOT be forgiven.
So you are on the wrong page there.
As for the concept of hell, it merely means "death" when translated correctly.
But if you believe the farytales of so many others about hell, there is no biblical proof of an immortal soul, so no-one will live for ever in a place called hell. Rather, die forever.

The concept of hell is designed to frighten believers into keeping themselves isolated from anything that might undermine faith.

Forgiven is conditional and limited in Lord's Prayer and PS.
Forgive us as we forgive? Many don't or won't forgive.
PS: If you don't forgive all men, neither do you get it.
Err and forgive(them) is an endless cycle of know not folly;
Not to mention forgive them know nots is before the cross;
After the cross it's destroy them all with Noahic destruction.
Hence, charity never fails is "above" forgiving one another.
Not to meniton there's no them(know nots) at all in us-ward.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Being aggravated by employing fantasy is to no longer be aggravated. fantasy is entertainment. you will desire to to rephrase your question to ask the mormons that one. they suspect their guy-god facilitates each Tom, Dick, and Harry that one, in spite of God decreeing in any different case. yet they like the sound of their version greater proper, i think. Has a effective loving yet deadly ring to it, eh? choose in heaven or get tossed into the dark place the place i'm going.

Not everyone will be forgiven. Where did you get that idea from? Jesus said that if you deny him before men, he will deny you in Heaven.
