The year 0????
There has never been a year "0" at any time in history.
But to the real issue, while there may have been many baby boys born in stables to women named Mary during a one year period, it is unlikely that those conditions would have all been meet by multiple mothers during a single night. Also unlikely that the other babies born in the southern Judean city of Bethelem would have been "wrapped in swaddling clithes", a custom of the northern country of Galilee from which Mary and Joseph came. So even if they had picked the wrong stable, the baby would have been unlikely to be dressed as stated by the angel.

The Bible is NOT the word of God. The bible was written by men. 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Christ is the Word of God. The new testament has been corrupted by men right from the beginning. Even ancient texts that Yehoshua, the Christ Himself quoted from have been left out of the bible. Did you know that there is a Gospel according to Peter? The Book of Enoch is a text that Christ quoted from which has been left out of the bible. There are many ancient texts written about about the Christ that have been discovered in places such as Egypt, Etheopia and at the Dead Sea. Why do you think that there are more books with Paul's teachings than there are of Christs? Come to think of it, the bible calls the Messiah Jesus, when there is no naming of Him in the original texts that can possibly be translated to English as the word Jesus. In the Hebrew His name is Yehoshua, which, in every other place in the bible has been translated as Joshua. In the Greek His name is IESU. There was no J in the greek alphabet and the Romans added 's' to the end of a males name. If the bible was the word of god you would think that at least it would name the True name of the Messiah as a sign of reverence or respect. The bible is not 'the word of God' but men who want you to adhere to their doctrines will tell you that it is.

If that were true they sure traveled a long way for nothing. If that were true King Herod killed a bunch of babies for nothing. If that were true Samuel was wrong too. If that were true, Mary would have to be insane and so would John the baptist, 12 disciples, and the people He healed.
Note: you said the year 0.

God ensured that the three wise men were guided to where the baby lay, by the simple use of a star. And He told them where the child would be lying - in a manger of straw. A token of humility.

"I'm an Atheist" = "I believe in fairytales"
There were not 3 wise men (that number is a myth - there were 3 types of gifts mentioned though).
It was not the wise men who selected the baby. - So was it a coincidence?

Hey, you try walking around at night in a desert, would you choose to walk 10 extra miles to drop off some gifts or stop by and visit Mary?
God Bless

Like u said, they were wise, not infallible. Men make mistakes. Which is why I question the Bible. It was written by MEN, and MEN make mistakes. Since I was not there, i cannot tell u if these events happened or not.

the "three wise men" actually refers to 3 stars, the belt of Orion, known as "the three kings" which lined up with, "followed", the star Sirius (the star of the east), together pointing the where the sun (son?) rises on December 25. these are astrological symbols which were recreated into a story.....the birth of the son....or....the birth (rising) of the sun......God's sun.
