I would suggest that you look up the difference in the two words "beget" and "create".
The Bible says that Jesus came from the very heart of God, while man was created in His image.
It says that we can not see God, so Jesus came to reveal what God is truly like and once and for all time get rid of the silly nonsense of the ideas of men. In fact, Jesus said "When you've seen me, you've seen the Father" or, what you KNOW about me, you can extend to the Father, or, the way I act is the way the Father acts.
The Bible also says that what can be known of God is found in Jesus Christ.
But we tend to think in the finite here-and-now, so "beget" has to do with offspring, whereas from eternity's perspective, since Jesus was God from the beginning ("In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word WAS God" ... " And the Word became flesh."), so we have to view that word ("beget") in a totally different perspective, in that God did not beget Himself, but rather from the core of the very essense of His Being, Jesus came forth, both WITH God, AND God, and took on a human body.
Jesus is unique in that He is the ONLY begotten of God, "full of grace and Truth."
I pray that this helps to clarify what is otherwise a mystery, "Christ IN us, the hope of glory", and "The fullness of the Godhead dwelt in him bodily."

Jesus’ being called the “only-begotten Son” (Joh 1:14) does not mean that the other spirit creatures produced were not God’s sons, for they are called sons as well. However, by virtue of his being the sole direct creation of his Father, the firstborn Son was unique, different from all others of God’s sons, all of whom were created or begotten by Jehovah through that firstborn Son.

It is an older word for "birth" of "fathered". The difference between Jesus and everyone else is that we all come from Adam. Adam was "created" by God from the elements of the earth, and not directly born from God himself. We are his "children" but only because he chooses to treat us as such.
Jesus was "begotten" or birthed from God himself. He is the only "son" of God who was born directly from God rather then created. So he is called the "only begotten son".

I believe it goes back to the poorer parts of London in the 1800's and was a sort of a classless slang that was not too far in status above actual swearing that repulsed the upper classes immensely. A good example in exagerated form can be found in the Movie "My Fair Lady" which I believed was based on the book called "Pygmalian"(might be misspelled) in which the language master Dr. Doolittle tries to refine a woman from the lower classes in a bet and she embarasses him in society at the elite horse races by yelling at the "bloody" horse to pick up the pace.

Like begets like.
Jesus was exactly like His Father in contrast to Adam who was also a son of God, but created one not begotten.

It means that Jesus is the Son of God by birth as opposed to all believing Christians who are adopted sons and daughters of God.

Jesus was the "first" of all of God's creations......afterwards everything else that came about in existence was created by both Jehovah and Jesus. Proverbs 8:22-30
Begotten means that which was handmade solely by God.

The Quran recognizes the fact that Jesus had no human father, but this does not make him the son of God, or God himself. By this criterion, Adam would have been more entitled more entitled to be the son of God, because he had neither a father nor a mother, so the Quran draws attention to the miraculous creation of both in the following verses; " truly the likeness of Jesus, in God's sight is as Adam's likeness; He created him of dust, then He said upon him, 'Be' and hi was. (Al-Imran 3:59)
The Quran rejects the concept of Trinity God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Spirit - as strongly as it rejects the concept of Jesus as the son of God. This is because GOD IS ONE. Three cannot be one
